Another romantic comedy from Lauren Blakely...

... you can never go wrong when you want a fun lighthearted read to get you through the going back to school season.

Characters: Jason and Truly are the main characters of Lauren's latest novel. Truly was a really fun character, as a bar owner, she was just a breath of fresh air in comparison to many female love interests. She's Malone's sister, and he is from the book, Satisfaction Guaranteed. Jason is such a charismatic character, and I love that the way Lauren writes places the male character in the main point of view position rather than the female character.
Pacing: Pacing seemed different to me than most books. I loved that about it though, because I find it harder to guess plot points if a book does not follow a traditional format.
Romance: This story is your classic "I can't date my best friend's little sister" and "I made a pact with my brother to never date any of his friends." Watching Truly and Jason's love be more powerful than the tropes that attempt to keep them apart is very rewarding.

What a fun rom-com! I wasn’t really surprised that I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and hawt!! Wew! Lauren Blakely can write scenes that make your kindle smoke!

This is the story of Truly and Jason. The two made a pact years earlier that they would not allow a relationship interfere in their friendship or with the friendship between Truly’s twin brother Malone and Jason. But fate intervenes, and the two cannot resist their attraction. It is wonderful to see two strong characters that enhance the other as they discover they are meant to be together.

I received an ARC copy of this book and am voluntarily reviewing it. All opinions expressed in this review are my own and given freely.

I’m a massive fan of this author’s work and I’ve read many of her books . I thoroughly enjoyed the first book and was looking forward to reading this one . Our main character Jason has a very unusual job he’s as a much sort after Best -man for hire , when he needs a fake date he turns to Truly who is the very witty and sister of his best friend . Truly has helped him out before and they did share an intimate moment , but now they are falling for one another . Is there a HEA on the horizon for this couple ? I’m not saying you’ll have to read the book 😉
