This book is so sweet. The book itself is great quality and the story & pictures are beautiful.
I bought it to read with a 5 year old child at my child care centre to support him after the sudden loss of his grandfather. He really enjoys the story!

After reading glowing reviews, I purchased 2 copies to give as gifts. I have a Montessori program and I am always looking out for excellence in children's books. I found the story a bit off-putting. The ending seemed jumbled and not cohesive. I really do not care for the illustrations. They are too simple and cartoonish.
I will not be giving these as gifts.

The idea in this book is such a neat idea and easy for everyone to understand. Bought it for my 4 year old son while my mum was in hospice. My son was able to understand the concept of this. Works not only for death but also for distance which is great with family that lives far away.

Beautiful imagery in the paperback (different illustrator to hardcopy version). Lovely story in each, but having both (1 recieved as gift), I adore the paperback specifically. With concept of being joined forever by love, through time and space.
I bought book to help toddler begin to learn idea of love connecting us all, in preparation of a pending death of a family member. Ended up bringing the paperback version to the Celebration of Life for our departed family member, which brought smiles to attendees.
Book would be helpful for any separation anxiety or distances. Like help for returning to work/daycare, or caregiver absence while travelling without family, or a dear friend moving away, etc. Maintains concept we are all connected by love, regardless of circumstance. A nice re-enforcement that the child is never truly alone. <3 None of us are ever truly alone so long as we feel love and loved <3
