Not a great song list this year :(

First of all, this shouldn't be a $60 title, it should really be $30 and it will probably drop to that price by Black Friday or shortly after. My kids always hound me for it right away and I wait a month or a month and a half and the price drops fast.

Second, the song list is very weak this year! I showed the song list to my daughter and she doesn't recognize half of them, and the ones she does recognize aren't that new. The ones it advertises above have Ciara - Level Up (2019), Beyonce - Run the World (2011), Katy Perry - Last Friday Night (2010) and these are all fairly old songs!

My daughter knows that not every song is going to be a home run, but she does expect some fresh new songs and she is super disappointed in the list. Songs like Levitating by Dua Lipa and Funk by Meghan Trainor will keep her occupied for a bit, but most of the rest will grow old fast. Hopefully Just Dance 2022 will provide some fun for hopefully enough time to get by until the 2023 version comes out lol!

The kids love this game! This is the third version we’ve purchased, as they’re always asking for the next one. Lots of great songs, they always have fun when playing this game. I don’t like that they can see all of the available songs that cost extra in the game, as you have to pay for some kind of membership to access the massive playlist the game has available. They do enjoy playing the songs included with the game, but they get frustrated about not being able to use some of the other songs.

This game is always popular when they have friends over for birthday parties and stuff too, very entertaining. I would recommend it despite part of the content being subscription based. It’s great that it keeps them active on days when it’s just too cold to go outside.

Make sure you have enough joy-cons for everyone ahead of time! The first time the kids played I didn’t realize that you couldn’t use the other type of remote and I had to run out and buy more joy-cons so no one would be left out.

Game has been great and the kids love it from the Kids Mode songs to the main ones. Only gripe is that the "Unlimited" song list is huge and a little clunky to navigate. Also, the subscription price for the Unlimited after the 3 month trial is a bit much in my opinion for what you receive... If it cost about 1/2 of what it is for the Unlimited subscription I would give it 5 stars.

We have the 2020 & 2021 versions that we really enjoyed, but this one is so disappointing. Songs are old and not good dancing tunes. The kids songs are a repeat of 2021. No one in our family was impressed and we all would rather play the older versions.

I tried this game at a friends and loved it. But after purchasing it for myself I discovered that you have to pay EXTRA to have access to all the songs…. I mean, if this was a free game I wouldn’t have minded paying for access to unlocking the full game, but I can’t justify paying more when I’ve already payed 40 dollars for a game. This is completely absurd

Had 2020 and loved it. Even bought the additional songs for the year. We were super excited to get this one and it was not that great. Songs are okay at best. You basically start from scratch. The world tour is more extreme and take the fun out of it. It’s an okay game if you buy it on sale. Don’t pay filial price as it ain’t worth it!!!

As a fan of Just Dance I'm a bit disappointed with the song list of 2022. Less popular songs and less fun comparing to the previous ones, and the 1 month unlimited version is basically an accumulated list of songs from previous versions. I'd rather just watch youtube and follow with the dancers. Hope next year we will have a better song list.

Just Dance 2022's maps (the videos for each song) are absolutely stunning. The amount of effort put into each one is insane. I will say that I'd imagine that that makes it a bit more difficult to use as a "use every now and again for parties" game, but it's amazing for long-time fans.

The big disappointment with this installment is that all the issues with last year's base game remain. The glaring white background with no option for dark mode. The World Dance Floor being divided up into rooms that don't actually help with making sure you are seperated by skill, and end up just making it very difficult to try and play with long distance friends. The lack of variety and weeklies on the World Dance Floor. Quick Play mode is still completely broken and doesn't work at all. There's no actual new modes to do, like mash-ups and battle modes among other things. They even got rid of the sticker book, which gave incentive to 100% the game on Switch due to there being no external achievements system. No clue why they did that.

Unlike last year, the maps are so gorgeous and great that I can somewhat forgive a lot of these misgivings - but it's incredibly disappointing seeing as all those things are what caused a ton of burnout to most of the Just Dance community. I'm really hoping next year all those things aren't an issue again :(

EDIT: Also, I'm unsure about what the one review talking about how there are "too many dances for each song" is talking about? Alternates have been a thing since Just Dance 3, and both extremes and other alternates were in the game last year, plus I don't quite see how "most songs are slow". All the K-POP songs are fast, Level Up is fast. There are a bunch of maps that are fast - the slower song choices are done more artistically - but again this variety has been a thing for its' entire lifespan. So take that review with a grain of salt.

Ya habiamos comprado el Just Dance 2020. Son juegos muy divertidos, pero le pongo 3 estrellas por que siempre trae muy pocas canciones, lo que te obliga a estar pagando por mas canciones o suscribirte a la version unlimited y estar pagando mensualmente. Eso no se me hace bien. Quiza seria buena opcion si incluyera mas canciones gratuitas.
