Ironic if you ask me.

Leo hated Eliana for the sins of her father and he did horrible things to her and she just kinda jumped on his d*ck. I really dislike stories where the males are abusive and horrible but the women can't seem to care past their bodily "need" for the men. I mean at least be mad for a little before forgiving them!
Overall it was a quick, ok read.
I really enjoyed the authors way with words and I look forward to reading more on her work in the future.
Eliana's father is convicted of a crime that destroys Leo's family when they are 16, effectively destroying their newly blossoming relationship. Leo turns all of his feelings towards Eliana into hate and torments her for years which makes for a very angsty read. When new information arrives about the crime and the possibility that what has been keeping them apart all these years is a lie, Eliana and Leo must work together to uncover the truth.
I really enjoyed this book and read it in basically one sitting over the weekend. It was more than your typically college romance. There was suspense, twists and turns, laughs, and cute moments. Each of the characters were fully realized and had interesting family dynamics. The mystery subplot was great as well. My only compliant is that I would have liked more information about what evidence was gathered on the bad guys; however, the romance component was not lacking at all! There was just the right amount of spicy scenes and their relationship progressed at a great pace.
I'm very excited to read the rest of the books in this series and will definitely keep an eye out for all of Clara's future works!
Leo and Eliana are rich heirs that have grown up with each other and have had affection for each other since being 10 years old. After Leo's twin sister is found dead and the suspect is Eliana's father an all out war begins between the two as Leo is still obsessed by Eli and the only way he can deal with the guilt over this is by making her life miserable.
I didn't know what I was getting myself into to begin with as the tension between Leo and Eliana is so intense. I was sucked in quickly to the story even when Leo kept inflicting torture on her for 4 years until an overheard conversation puts them on a different path.
This book is very well written for a debut novel. It is a steamy read with fairly detailed descriptions but there isn't actually that much sex in it.
If you love a steamy romance with an enemy to lovers trope this is your type of read. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.
