I am developing arthritis in my hands, making crochet very difficult. I went in search of a set of ergonomic hooks. At the store, all I could find were very costly individual ones, or a small set of cheap looking hard plastic handled ones. I ordered this set hoping for a better set for a reasonable price than what I could find in person. I was not disappointed. There is a broad variety of sizes. The finish on the handles is not hard, shiny plastic, but has a softer feel to it. The colours are vibrant and give me a smile. The only thing I would want to improve is for the handles to be larger on the smaller hooks. Keeping all of the handles to one, ergonomic size despite the size of the hooks would make a lot more sense.

Really great needles! I am a bit of a beginner so I needed a full set of needles, this was a great purchase! the steel is sticky for slippery yarns and slippery for sticky yarns. I find the metal better than wood as wood starts to make my yarn fray. They are so light too, which is good as my hands get sore with heavier needles. Each set comes in its own pouch for organization. I love the little pink bag that it comes with too! perfect size for storing these needles and a few other knitting essentials. Now I'm not losing anything! The only issue I have had is that the plastic stopper at the end of the needle can get loose very easily. I already lost one, and I've had to glue a few more.

I love the way the yarn just slides off these needles and I love the long points.

The only thing I wish were different is the length, which are good for smaller garments and projects but not larger ones. A scarf is fine, an adult sweater is not.

Each set of needles has its own storage sleeve with the size printed on it (as well as on the needle tips.
It comes with a carry bag for storage.
There are a full set of locking stitch markers in various colours
It comes with a set of sewing needles in a storage container, various sizes and eyes perfect for yarn as they are blunt.
Also included is a measuring tape.

The needles are of stainless steel, much better than plastic or bamboo to use. The yarn just glides off and allows for faster knitting. They are based on US sizes though and missing (haven't checked them all yet) is the 3.25 mm (UK 10) size so you will have to adjust your tension accordingly.

I still have some of the needles I brought from the UK in the seventies and these are even better, just a bit short for large projects, contrary to the claim in the listing. They are definitely not extra large as claimed.
I much prefer metal needles for knitting and am delighted with these. Makes a nice gift or stocking stuffer for any knitter, beginner to experienced.

I love my crochet and doing fine work, but I couldn't hold the hooks anymore and was having problems with holding the proper even tension of the stitches. The handles really helped and saved my fingers from cramping. The metal quality isn't as smooth as another hook I bought and paid more for, so if a smooth action is needed another brand might suit better, but if you are a slow stitcher like me I preferred the resistance of these hooks to help retain proper tension. I also really liked it included a large range of hook sizes which I will use to try other projects now that I have hooks to use. I would definitely recommend these hooks for the novice to advanced crocheter. For the expert may prefer a different hook.

Not super impressed with these, the ends pop off a lot so I glued the on. And the color flakes off badly too, I actually don't use these specific ones anymore due to their lack of quality. Don't waste your money, go buy the plastic ones from Walmart if you're a beginner.

The quality of this knitting needle set is more than adequate, and the size variety and quantity of the needles and accessories that come with it is excellent value for the money, especially if you are a beginner and not sure how much you want to invest in your hobby. The knitting needles come in 2 lengths and if I were ordering again I would choose the shorter length, I find the longer ones a bit awkward to use, but that's probably a personal thing. For the money, you can't go wrong.

Overall it wasn't a bad set, and they're probably more comfortable than the thin aluminum ones you can find. However, after using my ergonomic set for about a year, I found these ones painful to work with (basically no give on the grip). If you don't mind the stiffness this would probably be a good set for you.

Pros:
- good size and material of carrying case
- comes with other tools like yarn needles/ measuring tape

Cons:
- hurt my hand to crochet with after relatively short sessions
- inconsistency between hooks (some have printed labels which aren't as durable and some have them as part of the grip)
- was missing a hook (but I think I saw on other reviews that they'd send the missing one if you reported it).

They are a nice length and feel comfortable to use, no sticking on the wool and as they are smooth there is no catching either. I have taken up knitting again after a long period and needed to stock up. These are great. They felt more plastic than metal when I unwrapped them, but they are perfect in use. The finish is smooth and the wool does not catch; you can get up a good speed as a result. They may be too long for absolute beginners who might prefer to start with a shorter needle, but I spent my youth knitting on long needles and these work very well for me even when knitting short lengths. As soon as I started to knit it felt exactly like it used to - and that's a good thing. The other bits and pieces are a welcome addition, but it's really about the needles themselves for me.
