Weight just melted right off because of the breastfeeding. It’s a win for both yourself and your newborn.
The reason I am on my fourth tube is that I use this as an all-in-one ointment on my baby's skin. Drool rash and eczema specifically. With the drool rash, I dab a thin layer before and after every nap and diaper change time. It keeps the red skin protected from the drool and allow for a quick heal. Since this is nipple cream, it is safe for babies to eat and therefore fantastic as skin protectant from drool rash. For eczema (especially the face), I apply a moisturizer first and then pat a little light layer of nipple cream on top. It seals in the moisturizer and allow the eczema to be less irritate.
Hope this advice help some of you mamas out there
I don't find that this stuff really moisturizes at all - it doesn't feel much different than most others except maybe the ones that are practically pure wax - and it certainly doesn't last any longer. It feels like it just sits on top and doesn't penetrate to actually moisturize.
I am so glad I had a baby just because it led me to finding this stuff!
This, however, is a lot thinner. It's easier to spread, yes, but doesn't stay and my chapped lips returned full force. A few weeks after I bought it, I was out and about, waiting at a medical clinic, and hadn't brought any of this to put on my dry, scaly lips. I ended up buying a drugstore brand and the difference was immediate: my problems with chapped lips disappeared. I still use Lansinoh when it's around but I will not be purchasing again.
