Does the premise seem cliche? Don't be fooled. What starts off as a seemingly mundane fantasy thriller explodes into an absolutely wild ride-this is a masterpiece of creativity, you'll never be bored for a moment. Full of original ideas and very well-written l, my only compliant is that there isn't a 2nd book out yet!

I was lucky enough to receive a ARC from Zamil and I'm so happy to have had that opportunity.

From start to finish, this book had me hooked with its visceral descriptions and unique magic system (although its treated more as a science which is a big plus).

Best of all, Zamil has consistently stuck the landing with the ending. This is the start to something great and a welcome addition to my book collection.

Thank you to Author Zamil Akhtar for an e-arc copy of his new book and new series. After reading his first two books, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this and Zamil did not disappoint. His new world brings you to a place where to escape reality and hell is to have lucid dreams, where an hour in reality is a day in dream. Our main protagonist Jyosh finds himself in labour camp and his family executed after his brothers treason against the God Emperor. Its been years but now Jyosh wants revenge on the Holy one who turned his life to hell where one slip of the tongue and mistake could earn you the death penalty. But first he must train his lightblade skills while sleeping. The lightblade is an awesome weapon where it must willed into existence using crystals through the body. This story is action packed, fast paced and the worldbuilding is excellent. Looking forward to the second book, highly recommend...😁💥🔥

I just finished this book and I can't get over how well it drew me in, made me want to keep reading more, how it took itself in ways I didn't expect, how much I came to like the characters.
I'm going to be thinking about this book for a long while and will be eagerly waiting for a hopeful sequel to it in the future and see where it takes its story.

To expand on a few thoughts I also love the magic system of this world, the dream stones are super cool, the way the lightblades (lightsaber equivalent) are actual "light-blades".

I really want to get across how much I enjoyed this book but I don't want to delve into specifics because the twists and turns, the mysteries that happen in this story are really worth experiencing without to much knowledge going in.

Great story, bogged down by excessive chatter. Every character has pages and pages of something to say. And most of the dialogue serves no other purpose than to bog the story down and stop it from moving forward. I ditched it at the halfway mark. A book of dialogue does not a good book make.
