The book itself is nice as a coffee table book. But after reading it I was a bit disappointed. Most of the interiors look like art galleries- interesting, but not functional at all. Uncomfortable looking furniture and giant cabinets filled with nicknacks and vessels. They look cold and unlived in, nothing cozy about them. All of the kitchens look the same with marble slab backsplash and open shelving instead of wall cabinets. All (except Athena's homes) of the homes are designed by other people so it's a bit weird that Athena would include other people's designs in her own book. A lot of the design tips are basically useless because they only apply if you have a specific design problem that only a rich person would have. Some of the designs are beautiful but they're unrealistic to a normal person. Not sure if I would recommend this book but it's fine as a coffee table book.

I can't say more positive things about this book! From front to back, each page is full of thoughtful and stunning design inspiration. The book is filled with so many wonderful things and the cover and spine of the book make it a perfect addition to any coffee table.
Reader Tip: Pay close attention to Athena's notes where her design and styling decisions are explained.

Note: my book was a bit sticky when I received it (ohh Amazon) but I used a baby wipe and it came off.

This book is beyond! Athena Calderone's Cobble Hill apartment is so swoon-worthy and all the imagery shot by Nicole Franzen in this book is extremely beautiful. Amazing line up of other creative features such as Danielle Siggerud and Signe Bindlsev Henriksen, plus it provides helpful tips for designing your own space.
It also doesn't hurt that it looks amazing on your coffee table. Cannot recommend this book enough!
