This fun, inclusive board book celebrates the one thing that makes every family a family . . . and that's LOVE.
Love is baking a special cake. Love is lending a helping hand. Love is reading one more book. In this exuberant board book, many different families are shown in happy activity, from an early-morning wake-up to a kiss before bed. Whether a child has two moms, two dads, one parent, or one of each, this simple preschool read-aloud demonstrates that what's most important in each family's life is the love the family members share.

About the Author
Sophie Beer completed a dual degree in Law and Creative Industries with distinction at Queensland University of Technology, but found the whole law thing completely wrong for her and now works primarily in children's and editorial illustration. Reveling in color, shape, and texture, she lives by one simple rule: Art should never be boring. When she's not illustrating and writing, she thinks a lot about plants, animals, music, and books.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.

Ok, the message on the back of this book... Beautiful, inclusive, made me want to share it with my daughters, especially as we’re an “atypical” family... But the inner “body” to the story itself, is lacklustre. I’m really sorry, I wanted to be all for this, but it’s not a great read for us. The artwork is ok. Sure diversity is depicted, but not in enough detail.

LOVE this book!! Super loving, super inclusive, really colourful and fun. I appreciate all the different combinations of family shown, including diverse gender presentation and expression. Folks reading it can read their own interpretations 😊

We were gifted this book by a coworker and my 1 year old daughter loves the images so much. I can’t wait to continue reading it to her as she grows so she’s able to understand the meaning behind the pictures!

I bought this for my little boys 1st birthday, he is now 18months and this is easily one of his favourite books! Each page features a beautifully bright illustration with lots of details that we sit and talk about. Because there is no direct story line, we enjoy jumping around to favourite pages. When he gets older I can tell him about different family structures, but for now he just likes pointing out the mamas, dada’s & nanas!
I couldn’t recommend this book enough!

Not as described

Just to save anyone else purchasing when it's not as described. It's described as a book that talks about different family set up and structures. However there is no mention of different family types at all. I was really disappointed. I have asked for a refund which amazing have approved without ant issues currently. Cant fault amazon service at all.

Super little book

OK, no storyline at all, but a super little book to introduce different families and family structures to my (adopted) daughter. She likes the pictures, and it's a great introduction to the different ways in which humans create families through love rather than pure biology.
