I used water pills on and off for awhile but they don't do alot of good for cramps. Would take stuff for leg cramping as well. Sometimes that would make it worse or make the swelling worse. (Think some of cramps due to dehydrating so easily) Sometimes the water pills seem to cause cramping or make it worse. Ect ect
So I'd been looking for something that would maybe help one with out exacerbating the other.
This at least somewhat helps both problems at least a little. This was I can at least have a chance of getting rid of one problem without making the other flair up. Or could have in the roast couple months the problems have actually gotten quite a bit better finally. Also thee swelling has gotten a lot better as well.
Still using these on and off for cramps in calves ankles and feet. At least when their not super bad cramps. They do good on mild to moderate cramping.
I would recommend for someone with mild swelling or cramping in the legs. Not sure how well it would work for others but it worked well for me.
A few years ago I had a multi level spinal fusion. The surgery worked wonderfully but about two years ago I started getting bad leg pain in my right leg. When I say bad I mean it’s been agony. I can’t sit for long, it hurts when I stand and hurts when I lay down. It pretty much hurts all the time. Every doctor I saw told me it was just one of those things that happened after spine surgery. No amount of NSAIDs or acetaminophen helps.
I became convinced it was vascular but sick of medical bills and pointless doctor visits I just gave up on it. Walking seems to be the only time my leg isn’t painful and I do have a couple of swollen veins inside my thigh.
I tried these as a last resort and whilst not a miracle cure by any means it really has turned the pain down a notch or two. I’ve been taking them for a week and have seen enough of an improvement to further convince me the pain is vascular and make an appointment for a vascular doctor.
The capsules themselves are easy to swallow with no side effects and I do have a sensitive stomach for some supplements. I take two in the morning with a big glass of water.
It says to take it 2 or 3 weeks to see the effects, so after just one week, you don't really see much change. I hope to see some reduction to swelling in my lower legs in the next week or so. If you have this problem, you know that tired and heavy feeling it gives your legs.
The package advises not to take it for longer than 3 months. I didn't have any problems with this upsetting my stomach.
I'll update this review after I've taken them for 3 weeks. Previously, I'd been taking Horse Chestnut for my veins which my doctor had suggested. I'm not taking that for this 3 week period, so I can see how the MapleLife Leg Relief works on its own.
I took them about a week, until the swelling normalized. I tend to have puffy ankles and that is normal for me. I did stop, because I have a stomach complaint already, but they did help with the puffiness from the pills.
