Are you ready for the Southern Wedding series?
Things are supposed to go smoothly on your wedding day. Aren't they?
Are you ready for the Wedding series?
Harlow
I promised him I would be there for the best day of his life. Not thinking I wouldn’t be the one standing next to him. But here I was attending the love of my life’s wedding day. I smiled when I saw him and pushed back the tears that wanted to come out. This was his day, and I was going to fulfill my promise.
Travis
It was supposed to be the best day of my life. But the second I got up, things started to fall apart. The kitchen just caught on fire. Flowers were from a funeral. My bride-to-be just had an allergic reaction, leaving by ambulance. Oh, and my ex-girlfriend just walked into the church.
They say you have to see the signs when they are right in front of you. Maybe she was just mine to have.

I loved how it was so easy for them to dive back into a relationship together after their years apart. They both learned from the past and realized the chance they get to have a love that powerful. Their biggest problems were distance and miscommunication, but it was clear that Travis was playing for keeps and wouldn't let Harlow go a second time. They shared emotional, but also steamy moments together.
It was so nice to get more of Harlow's family, which I met in the Southern Series. Travis's sisters were also interesting to meet and they are the stars of the next novels in the Southern Wedding Series, which I'm so excited about.
1. While the author can spin a tale, she was lazy and couldn't make up her mind about how far the leading lady and man lived apart. When she was getting ready to go to his wedding, it was four hours away - 8 a.m. to noon to arrive. But, when he travelled the same route to her, it was 8 hours, 10 with traffic. What? Was he riding a pedal bike?
2. Also, she starts one scene wearing a cashmere sweater that turns into a tank top a couple of pages later. Sheesh.
3. Describing what everyone is wearing, unless it is germane to the story, should be avoided religiously.
4. Repeating the same information from the leading lady's pov and then starting the next chapter going over the same information and dialogue from his pov is a silly practice. It's also very lazy.
5. The male character came across as silly and rather wimpy.
SPOILER
6. But, for me, the worst infraction was the premise. The reason Travis split up with Harlow is because he didn't want her to make a decision about whether she wanted to leave her family for him. I mean, WTH? Every man or woman who decides to have a committed relationship makes that decision.
Even if this author's next book is free, I wouldn't waste my time. Not worth it.
P.s by now I know that if Natasha Madison decides to go write about sports in a newspaper I would go buy it and read it!

Travis and Harlow never truly got over each other when they ended their relationship in college four years prior. When Harlow receives an invitation to Travis' wedding and after making a promise to be beside him on the best day of his life, Harlow heads to the wedding. Neither Harlow nor Travis expected the wedding day to go the way it did.
I love the Southern family and was so glad that we were heading back. Travis and Harlow's chemistry is smoking hot and you can tell that the minute they see each other again after four years that they never lost the love they had for each other. A great start to the Southern Wedding series ad I can not wait for more.
Savannah Peachwood was amazing as always and I thoroughly enjoyed my first experience with Sean Crisden.
Mine to Have (Southern Wedding 1) is a... small town, second chance, frenemies-to-lovers romance told in the dual first-person point of view.

NM fans will know Harlow as Casey and Olivia’s daughter from her amazing Southern series, which yes ladies and gents does mean cameos from the man himself, cowboy Casey!!!
All grown up and graduated from veterinary school, Harlow is back in her hometown running a successful vetinary business, when a wedding invitation lands on her doorstep. When Harlow agreed to be standing by the grooms side on his wedding day, Harlow expected it would be her walking down the aisle to meet him, nonetheless a promise is a promise and Harlow will be there no matter what it costs her to see the love of her life pledge forever to someone else.
When Travis broke Harlow’s heart just before graduation, he did it with the best intentions, after letting the doubts into his head, he didn’t want her to resent him for taking her away from her family so he let her go instead. He never thought she’d hate him and he certainly never thought the next time he saw her would be as a guest.. at his wedding to someone else.
After a series of disasters end up stopping the wedding, Travis realises he was headed down the aisle with the wrong woman, and decides to fight this time, now that he knows how it feels to lose her, he’s not letting Harlow go again.
I adored Harlow and Travis’ story, even after wanting to punch him for his stupidity at the end of Mine to Kiss, Mine to Have was Travis’ redemption. Harlow is strong and feisty and doesn’t let Travis off the hook so easily, he let her go once so he has to earn her trust back again, which he does, in spades.
I am in love with the Barnes’, but the Baker women are everything you didn’t know you wanted. For diehard NM fans, the only way I can describe them is the female equivalent of the Stone men from her Über famous Hockey series, and even better each one of them is getting their own book in this brand new series. Do yourself a favour and buy this now, you’ll laugh, swoon, swear and cry, but close it with a huge smile on your face desperate for the next instalment, just like I did!

No drama, no angst and no cliff hangers.
Travis and Harlow are young and completely in love. Until travis decides to sacrifice his happiness for Harlow and break up with her. 4 years on, neither have truly gotten over it.
Travis has moved on, kind of. And is about to get married. Except everything goes wrong. Is this a sign that he shouldn’t get married? And then he sees Harlow for the first time in 4 years, and everything he felt for her comes flooding back.
The paid re kindle their lost love and embark on a new stage of their relationship, only to be faced with the very issue that broke them up in the beginning.

And what a delightful and charming story it is.
As Harlow due to a promise she made long ago finds herself reluctantly attending her ex-Travis' wedding. Only thanks to her sudden and rather unexpected appearance and a series of mishaps that ultimately sees the would be bride hospitalized. The wedding is called off.
Which leads Travis to realise Harlow was inevitably the one for him.
But after four years, a would be wedding, two states, and lots of hurt. Travis has his work cut out if he is to make Harlow his.
And with plenty of heat, family feels, humour and a touch emotion. This was an enjoyable and engaging read. That was exactly what I needed on a rainy Sunday afternoon.

I’m away to cancel my preorders for the rest of this series .
I’m still in a book slump .

I really enjoyed this second chance romance (one of my favourite tropes). It’s super sweet and really cute. The story is heartwarming and of course Travis and Harlow are super sexy together. Their second chance isn’t completely smooth sailing but isn’t overly dramatic. This was a good, feel good read and I’m looking forward to more books from this series.
