Product description
Review
Mommy, Mama, and Me depicts the gentle, nurturing relationship of a lesbian couple and their little one. In this sweet board book, the flowing lines and warm palette of Carol Thompson’s mixed media illustrations work in concert with Lesléa Newman’s rhythmic text. Also, see this book’s gay-fathers counterpart, Daddy, Papa, and Me, by the same creators.

From diagnosis through yahrtzeit (one-year anniversary), the narrator grapples with what it means to lose a mother. The poems, written in a variety of forms (sonnet, pantoum, villanelle, sestina, terza rima, haiku, and others) are finely crafted, completely accessible, and full of startling, poignant, and powerful imagery. These poems will resonant with all who have lost a parent, relative, spouse, friend, or anyone whom they dearly love.

Finally a book that includes two moms
Thanks to the author !!!!!!

It does teach them about diversity as it shows that some families have 2 moms and they function just like any other family.
It is great for children who have 2 moms and all other children as well.
For a child with 2 moms it will help them portray themselves and identify their family environment as being conventional.
The child in the book could be of either gender which is also really good as you can adapt to both scenarios. It is also great that the moms are not portrayed as the lesbian stereotype, which quite frankly, shouldn't exist.
It is a book about a family, 2 moms and a little one who do every day family things. Very helpful, heart warming and brings you to the normality of an every day family environment.
