Mr Masters (Mr. Book 1) Kindle Edition
Job satisfaction has taken on a whole new meaning.
When I lied on my resume, I didn’t expect it to matter.
I mean any child would love me; I was born to be a nanny. I applied for a position working for a woman, or so I thought.
But Julian Masters is definitely all man…the kind you dream of licking chocolate from.
The first day was bad.
The kids were the spawn of the devil and I spied through a window and caught him doing something obscene…. and equally fascinating.
The second day was worse, he caught me snooping in his bathroom cabinet in my skimpy pyjamas and all hell broke loose.
On the third day, I ran over him in a golf cart.
And by day four I had decided that I wanted that chocolate…all of it.
But intelligent, widowed Judges don’t fall for ditzy nannies. Or do they?

Unfortunately Julian is constantly fighting his inner demons and Brielle gets hurt with his fallout. Brielle has fallen hard for Julian since day one. She tries to sledgehammer his bricks in his impenetrable wall to no avail. I loved this story as we experience the journey these two take together. I also love the family dynamics and the interaction with Julian and Brielle with his children.
This is my first book by T.L. Swan, definitely not my last.
How can you begin to put into words this positively supreme work of art!
It is indeed a work of art! For an author to paint a story in your mind the way t l swan does! It must be art!
I cried, I laughed out loud(more than once!) and I rejoiced in the ending!!
This is definitely re-read worthy!
happy Australian girl who teaches him some life skills of how to make a happy home for his family. He is so full
of guilt and does not know how to be a father, his idea is strict and serious has his daughter acting out and unhappy
He is too afraid to open up and try a relationship. Entertaining book, nicely written.
It was a good time all around. This HEA was hard-won and super fun at the same time. Super steamy but with believable characters and an intriguing plot. The heroine was super likable--smart, hilarious, and totally relatable. I'm excited to read more from this author! Would recommend!!

Brielle is a crass, immature woman who thinks it's acceptable to swear at and threaten children. Julian is a cold and aggressive man who is more interested in getting his end away with hookers and the nanny than spending quality time with his children, whose mum has died.
The book's not amazingly well-written but kept me interested up to the point Julian and Brielle confess their love for one another. At this juncture, I almost gave up reading the remaining seven chapters which are just repetitive waffle in which Julian becomes even more horrible and aggressive.
The book features a number of annoying and careless inconsistencies - for example, naturally tanned Aussie Brielle, who tops up with fake tan, suddenly has "porcelain" skin in one scene; although the book is set in Britain, Julian references his daughter considering becoming a Republican; Brielle's parents plan to visit her but it's not mentioned again - possibly a plot line Swan forgot to write out?!
Although I generally enjoyed the plentiful, passionate sex scenes in this book, a few of them disturbed me:
• On two occasions, Brielle and Julian jerk each other off while Julian's children are sat in front of them, watching TV - yuck!
• Julian is often overly sexually aggressive and in one scene he goes the whole yard and practically rapes Brielle. Brielle has never had anal sex before and when Julian tries to stick a thumb in she says "no". A couple of weeks later they engage in kinky role-play at his behest - with no prior discussion of safe words/what they consent to etc - and he uses this situation to "dominate" her by having painful (for her) anal sex which she gives in to so as to please him. Of course, she ends up loving it because what anal virgin doesn't love having four fingers shoved inside with no gradual build-up and then having a huge penis smashed in so hard it bashes the bed into the wall? I'm guessing the author has not researched anal sex and is just jumping on the taboo bandwagon to sell books.
Note to authors: realistic sex that promotes hot but consensual and safe interaction is way better for the reader than this kind of thoughtless guff!
Swan has made my "Authors to Avoid" list. If you like decent writing; gripping story lines and hot-as-hell sex scenes, check out Jana Aston and Louise Bay.
Judge Julian Masters is a gorgeous sexy damaged man, widowed with two beautiful children that need a new nanny so he hires Bree who is on a year long work visa from Australia. Their charisma is a slow build at the start but then it rockets sky high in all sorts of ways from arguments to heated sexual attraction, to bickering and funny episodes that had me laughing out loud. Judge masters is one hot dirty talking man but he is also closed off and acts cold towards Bree at first. I loved the way this book explored their relationship with his children, with each other and with themselves.
I absolutely loved Bree, she was funny, strong sexy and knew her own mind and fought for everything she believed in.
Julian was WOW. Hot, sad, lonely, a distant parent; he frustrated the hell out of me at times but as his heart unraveled we see a different Julian that I just adored.
This book is everything and more. It's romantic, sad, angsty, frustrating, addictive, funny and sweet and the sex scene's were incredibly hot !!
All in all a phenomenal read.
The first time I ever read this author she gave me Dr Stanton and I totally fell in love, not sure anyone can come close to that man but lets just say that Judge Masters can take me to room 612 rosewood anytime he chooses (swoon ) !!!!

👫 Julian & Brielle
📖 1/3 Mr. Series
SWOON. This book is SUCH a cliche, I mean the nanny?? But I was hooked. Completely and utterly hooked. Mr Masters was smoking hot, his point of view was just perfection. Seeing how he portrayed himself vs his thoughts were super interesting. I loved seeing them grow as a family and help his kids alongside their relationship. The smut in this was incredible - Julian & Bree had incredible Chemistry - and I just couldn't get enough. I read this a second time and it was just as good - I have also listened to this on Audible and narrator Shane East has the sexiest voice. Highly recommend listening!
I loved the premise and this puts other nanny romances to shame. It full of humor with believable characters and dialogue.
My problem with it I couldn't put it down and the story ended way too soon as the pages turned way too quickly.
It's a gripping read from start to finish with just enough drama and storyline to keep you entertained.
T l swan what a corker you have written with this endearing romance. I may just have to read it again!
Thankfully the book cost seems to have been put towards a decent proofreader with this book, as quite a few of the other books were definitely lacking in that area and it detracts from a decent story when you're tripping over errors (well I personally find that really irritating).
The chemistry between the two main characters was great, and I found the entire thing believable and got drawn in quite early on.
I won't be giving any spoilers, as nothing worse than that!suffice to say Judge Masters is one horny, dominant male lead!
So read the book if you want to know more.
I will be keeping an eye out for more books from this author, a massive 5 stars from me!
