Rich, deep, well-rounded flavour and aroma, that captures the untamed spirit and natural beauty of Muskoka. Algonquin Park is home to the Eastern Wolf, which travels in packs across territories that range from 150 to 500 square kilometres in size. The western boundary of the park is 35km from the front door of the Muskoka Roastery. Hmmm. Everyone is familiar with the sound of wolf’s howl, but what are they saying? Biologists believe that a single howl, or only one wolf howling, is a method of staying in contact when the pack is spread out. A pack howl is used, they suspect, when the pack wants to defend its territory from intruders. The final reason some biologists believe wolves howl is for social cohesion, similar to how humans use singing. Our rationale is clear then – a socially cohesive workplace!

I am a coffee fiend. As such, I am very particular about how my coffee tastes and smells.
I love my Kicking Horse coffee blend, but wanted to try another brand; so I might find something different to hopefully enjoy.
Well, the Muskoka company had a sale here on Amazon, so I decided to give it a whirl; seeing that it was a fellow Canadian brand.
My first observation is that unlike my favourite brand; this coffee was very dry, not dark and oily, as are all the Kicking Horse blends I've enjoyed.
The second was the smell. It was rather nondescript by comparison. It smelled like coffee, obviously, yet it didn't "greet" your nose by comparison.
So, I brewed myself a cup. To be honest; it was weak and less than aromatic.
So, the next cup I brewed I decided to double up on the grounds. It still seemed bland, but also now had a slightly bitter underlying flavour to it.
It again I will say, is just my tastebud's perception, just left me wanting.
It could have been this particular blend, or perhaps this bag wasn't new and freshly produced, but I wasn't in love with it.
I will stick to my Grizzly Claw blend, but thank you Muskoka for the lower price. I may not have loved it, but at least I got to try another Canadian company's product.
