Whitened only half a shade for me in the end

Used it 2 times now. First time, did 10 minutes, as recommended. Didn’t do anything, so I upped to 15 minutes. Nothing has changed. I will keep updating this to keep you posted on my results. Would have given the product 1 star, but I’ve had good service from the company. The light I received doesn’t work properly, I have to hold the button down and press it really hard for it to work. The company answered my request promptly and has agreed to send me a new one. Oh, and for those who complain, it is normal to turn your gums white if you put product on it. They will be back to normal within a few hour. And it would be great if the company offered different strenght for the product. I get some people will need a more gentle product for their sensitive teeth, but I don’t and the product seems to be too gentle for my level 5 teeth to whiten. At the end of the treatment, I will wait 2 months and will try a stronger gel from another company. I will keep the same mouthpiece, it fits my mouth and teeth good.
**Update**.I received the new light within 48 hours, no additionnal shipping fees. I also wrote an e-mail to the company asking for recommandations and they recommended I up the time to 30 minutes. I also realized there was a small gap between the mouthpiece with the gel and my teeth, so now I either suck gently on the mouthpiece to get it to stick to my teeth or press it lightly against my teeth. By doing so, between my fifth and sixth use, I've gone up half a shade, almost a level 4 now. Adding 1 star to my previous review.
**Final update** Just finished the last treatment. Whitened only half a shade total and I’m being generous. Very disappointed with the product, the stars I gave is because the company offers good service.

I didn't notice a difference after the first few days of use, and to be honest, I don't think there is a difference after using all the gel.
They do have some nice picture instructions in the kit to help you figure out how to use it but I found it was a bit confusing at first what the extra tips were for and also how to apply the gel. It might be good to include a link to a youtube video tutorial on how best to apply the gel.
I also found the warranty was hard to claim but they did have someone rectify the situation after which was great. It's unclear what the warranty covers though.

This kit comes with a 9 day supply of whitening gel even though the instructions say to do this for 7 days. I ended up doing the full 9 days, but I’ll explain how I did it at the end. There’s a trick to this and I wish I would have figured it out before day 3, but better late than never, right? It worked for me personally, but may not stimulate the same results for everyone. I would also like to add that I have healthy teeth that whiten well. Hope this helps!!

**before treatment**
I lightly brush my teeth with charcoal (3-5 mins). I have a jar of it that I bought here on Amazon for like $4 and it lasts forever. Charcoal helps removes stains from your teeth and removing the stains before will help the gel penetrate more effectively. Ta-da! Rinse your mouth to remove the charcoal (I use warm water because I’m impatient) and follow that with a good flossing.

**time to treat**
Seriously just follow the instructions. They are easy to understand and it takes no time at all. Oh and grab a little towel because if you’re like me you’ll get slobbery a few minutes before the light turns off and it will feel like eternity. Ha!

**after treatment**
Brush your teeth with your favorite toothpaste and you’re done. I use an ultra soft toothbrush when I do this because of the amount of brushing.

I split the treatment up a bit because my gums and teeth started to become sensitive around day 6, which is normal for me, so I waited a few days before starting the last 3 treatments. Next time I will do a 5 and 4 split, but of course you can customize it to fit you. Silly me forgot to take a before photo, but I’ve had plenty of compliments. I started at solid 5 on the tooth chart they provide you, but I am about a 2 or 3 now. That honestly depends on the lighting.

I’ve read a lot of reviews that the light quit working, but I haven’t had that problem yet. I will find out in a few months when I do this all over again. Overall, I don’t believe that I would have achieved the results that I did if I hadn’t of taken the extra steps, but I would probably say the same for any other whitening gel provider. This one was on sale when I purchased it, but still affordable at normal rate. Alone it would have probably gained me 1 shade, however, using the charcoal method alone would have only gained 1 and that one I know for a fact (that’s why I have the charcoal in the first place). The 2 methods together really made the difference.

Primero es importante saber que contiene 9 aplicaciones, y el tratamiento es de 7 días. Acaban sobrando dos que se puede usar también. Se puede usar máximo 10 días. Eso no se menciona.

Si funciona el blanqueamiento pero en baja medida. Yo no tenia los dientes tan manchados y apenas logre percibir un cambio, no puedo decir que se hayan aclarado un tono completo mis dientes. Tal vez alguien que tenga un poco más de manchas en los dientes verá un cambio mayor.

Otra gran desventaja es que SOLO SE BLANQUEAN LOS DIENTES FRONTALES, mas o menos hasta los primeros molares. No abarca los dientes posteriores y únicamente se blanquea la cara de enfrente de los dientes. Eso tampoco se menciona.

Por otro lado no se encuentran los repuestos del gel para otro tratamiento. Así que la luz y la guarda ya van a la basura, se tiene que comprar nuevamente el paquete.

Por último a mi me generó las primeras veces un fuerte ardor en las encías, estuve a punto de suspenderlo.
