I didn’t like the pages that maybe got a little too technical about an antique corvette (a lot of kids don’t know what that is and don’t want to stop the flow of the book for it). We’re in Canada so the reference to the USA goes over her head too, and I would say it’s too long, but overall fun.
I would return it if I paid more. The price dropped $5.00, so I thought I’d pick it up as the grandkids are visiting this August. I purchase a LOT of children’s books and this is the stupidest one ever. I found it hard to preview myself, let alone read aloud to them. “Like a bumper made of chrome, from a 1960’s sport coupe!” What 4 year old can relate to that? Last line, “and dad, there’s no way of knowing just how far it’s going!” Dads bum falls to the floor. My 4 year old grandsons could have written a funnier story… So ☹️ disappointed. Don’t waste even $8 on it!
