At the beggining of the book the drama carries on from the “Damon Situation”. I enjoyed this storyline except in one of the earlier books, Casey and Ali ask who Alexa has a crush on. Alexa (not wanting to give away the fact that she hasa crush on Ali's boyfriend, Mike) says Damon and then considers him as a real boyfriend. From then, Alexa is now acting like she has a huge crush on him.
Through out the book, Alexa metions that she was now not as popular or even, not getting as much attention/not hanging out with the “Cool Kids” which means that she is not worried about Damon, but she is worried about herself instead. If I were Damon, I would feel embarrased and mad.
Also, I feel as though Ali's apoligy should have come sooner, because it seemed as though Katrina was just dragging out the plot. Having two different plots or one BIG plot is a good thing because then you can switch to two sides of the story. Although I said earlier, the “Alexa and Ali”plot was carried on for too long, I wanted more drama in it because what happend was Ali said a “Heart Felt” apoligy to Alexa and Alexa forgave her. I think a better plot would be Ali apoligises but Alexa says she doesn't forgive her and Ali get very angry and yells at Alexa and says that she doesn't care that Alexa grew up in a trailor park and her mum might go to jail, then Casey comes in, and is shocked because she doesn't know Ali apoligised, so she is mad at Casey. Casey tells Alexa to go up to their room (meaning Casey and Ali's) so she can talk with Ali. Casey cofronts Ali, so Ali now is practically fuming. So Ali tells Brie (Caseys best friend) and Brie thinks Ali needs to explain what happend to Casey and say sorry. Ali tries to take her advice and says sorry to them both, but Casey yells at Ali, saying she was being mean to Alexa and was acting like a bully.....
I feel this story line would fit nicely with the plot and at the end when Alexa sees ber mum, I think she could say something like, “Why did you have to come back, I hate you! We were better off without you!” I feel this would be a better ending, and the last parograph could be: Her mum stared at her for a moment, her eyes showing no emotion, she blinked, but no tears formed in her eyes. Alexa felt a pang of guilt serge through her body. She had to remind herself of all the terrible things her mum had put her through. They stood there for a minute, staring into eachothers eyes, not daring to blink. Alexa was crumbling on the inside. She finnaly had a friend, who she loved just like a sister. And once again, her mum had ruined it for her....
Thats the end of my review, thanks for reading!
