Product description

Platform for display:Switch  |  Edition:Standard

Luigi embarks on a dream vacation with Mario and friends upon receiving an invitation to a luxurious hotel. However, his dream quickly becomes a nightmare when King Boo reveals everything had been a ploy to capture Mario and friends. With the assistance of Professor E. Gadd once again, the reluctant and cowardly hero Luigi traverses up and down treacherous floors of the now-ominous hotel on a quest to save them. Wield the upgraded Poltergust G-00 to slam and blow away the ghosts’ defenses, or summon Gooigi, an all-green doppelganger that can help Luigi overcome obstacles he can’t get past alone. Interchange between Luigi and Gooigi as one player, or grab a friend and control one each. For more frenetic multiplayer action, race the timer to clear various objectives on a series of floors in ScareScraper mode. Scarescraper mode can be played online* or locally with up to eight players on four Nintendo Switch systems (additional games required; sold separately).

5.0 out of 5 stars My son loves this game!
By Mike on December 15, 2019
I bought this game for my son and he loves it! He couldn't put it down for the first week he had it. I played it with my son and I thought the story and graphics we're really good. I recommend this game to anyone who loves the Mario Bros franchise.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty Cool
By Holly S on February 24, 2021
Purchased this for my child's 5th birthday on their first console (Nintendo Switch). The game play is a lot of fun, especially in co-op mode. The bosses are a little too difficult for younger children and they may need some help with it. The game play between bosses is really a lot of fun.

The only critique is that it's more of an older kid game (I'd say 7+ due to controls and puzzle solving), sucking up the ghosts is a learning curve of multiple buttons and strategy and that unlocking co-op mode just takes too long. I had to play this for over an hour before my child could join in. I'd have had him do it but he was getting frustrated trying to figure it out on his own. Once it was unlocked, it turned into a lot of co-op fun to play together.
