I just received my first ever bread machine ever yesterday. I ordered 3 bread machine recipe books with it and from the start this was my immediate favourite. I want to try every recipe in it. They all sound so good. Some really great recipes that work wonderfully from what I can see. And a lot of useful info too.

First I made the whole wheat honey bread on page 25 I believe. This was my first time using a bread machine ever and the bread could not have come out any better. Just perfect. The honey is subtle in the taste but you can taste it and it really adds something to the whole wheat flavour.(see photos).

The Pumpernickel from this book was hands down the best bread I have ever tasted.

I consider this just a great book. It;s really gotten me excited about trying all these new kinds of breads in it. I can hardly wait.

This is my new bread bible. I bought a breadmaker recently and got bored of the manufacturer's supplies recipes but had trouble finding recipes that would list the recipes in 1, 1.5 and 2 lbs loafs. The recipes have a good variety of breads, from several types of sourdough and cheese breads to fruit breads and holiday breads. It was much thicker than I had anticipated. I just finished making a 1 lb. loaf of the Cinnamon bread recipe and it was Devine- the moistness of a banana bread with a delicate aftertaste of cinnamon- perfect right out of the oven with a bit of butter. I'm excited to try many more. The only downside is a lack of pictures, but the recipes make up for that.

REVISED COMMENTS - I bought a new Cuisinart bread machine which comes with a small recipe book. I wanted more and better choices, so after some research, I bought this one. So far, I love it! I have made 3 breads that came out really good; specially a Crusty honey bread and Feta and oregano... Delicious! However, three times, I have attempted to make a Raisin bread with no success. As per my photo, the raisins stay in the outside and bottom of the bread. and burn. Maybe t is my bread machine, I don't know. i will make it again, but will take out after the rise cycle and bake it in the oven. I will update my review then. The other reason I am giving it a 4 star is because of the measuring chart. Many of the recipes call for partial measurements but the chart doesn't give the equivalents, so you have to look them up elsewhere or do the math. It would have been nice to include all the different measurements of the recipes. REVISION - Today, I made the raisin bread again but ignored the instructions of adding the raisins at the end. I added them from the start, I substituted the sugar for Agave syrup and it came out delicious! It rose properly too. Photos included. So my suggestion is, play with some of the recipes if they don't come out as expected. I DO like the book. Just needed to get that one recipe right. NOTE - No gluten free recipes.
