First I made the whole wheat honey bread on page 25 I believe. This was my first time using a bread machine ever and the bread could not have come out any better. Just perfect. The honey is subtle in the taste but you can taste it and it really adds something to the whole wheat flavour.(see photos).
The Pumpernickel from this book was hands down the best bread I have ever tasted.
I consider this just a great book. It;s really gotten me excited about trying all these new kinds of breads in it. I can hardly wait.

Negatives - Measurements on recipe pages are only in US measurements, for metric you have to convert (conversion page at back of book, or from internet). Simple solution is to have measuring tools that measure both. Color pictures, just a few (I assume to keep cost of printing book down).
Overall an excellent book, well worth the price. Because of the two negatives I only rated the book 4 stars, but don't let that stop you from buying the book, it's an great book for those using a bread machine, newbies or experienced..

1. Bread Machine Cookbook by Carol Connor
2. The No-Fuss Bread Machine Cookbook
3. The Bread Lover's Bread Machine Cookbook (the most recommended and best reviewed on Amazon).
I returned the Bread Lover's Cookbook, I felt like was reading a book, more than trying to look up recipes and find ingredients that were hard come by in my small town. If you really take baking bread seriously as an art and science then I would recommend the Bread Lover's Cook book, for some great experiments.
I did not care too much for the Bread Machine Cookbook by Carol Connor, but it was not worth the hassle of returning it. It is sitting around collecting dust, it's not a bad book, I just didn't see any recipes that caught my enough to try them. I am sure one day I will crack the book open and try a bread stick recipe from Carol.
The No-Fuss Bread Machine Cookbook really holds up to its name. I not a serious bread baker, may family and I just got tired of eating low quality bread from the store. Most of the ingredients listed in the book are things you have in the pantry or can be easily purchased at your local grocery store, no scouring the internet and ordering specialty ingredients. It's is laid out well, most of the recipes have options for a 1 lb, 1.5 lb, and 2 lb, which I find very useful. My family has loved every loaf that I have tried from this book.
Each book has an intro to bread machine basics, and things you should know about getting started. I found the intro in this book to be straight and to the point. It is written like a cookbook should be written, well worth the $$, I would recommend this cookbook to any one looking for some good tasting and easy recipes to try.

As other reviews mentioned; there is a lack of pictures of the actual recipes. My sister felt this wasn't very important in comparison to the quality of the rest of the book, including the texture of the paper which we felt was conducive to adding pencil notation (don't shout at the scrawler). She feels she won't need another book on this subject for some time and recommends it for beginners.

banana and coconut bread was an absolute winner..... perfect toasted on a morning with butter and a decent coffee
