Book arrived on time in good condition. I love how the book uses a wide range of colours in the illustrations. I like how the pictures illustrate characters of diverse backgrounds. Book has potential to spark conversations with young children and educators alike about diversity, inclusion, culutre and self-identity. Will read during the first week back to school. The complexity and diversity of relationships that make each class unique is captured so well in “Our Class is a Family”. It would be a great beginning of the year read for any grade level as teachers are developing classroom community but I would be sure to read it year round to remind students how much it means to be in each other’s lives.

What a great book for introducing class community! The book is absolutely adorable and and couldn't wait to receive it. It arrive today, and when I took it out of the package, it was all bent. I was obviously really disappointed to receive my brand new book that I paid for, bent. My suggestion is to package this book along with cardboard to help protect the front and back cover. I think it will help avoid this issue, and you'll have a lot more grateful customers! Great book nonetheless.

I am a teacher of young children and could not share this story with them as intended because according to the author all families have a 'mom and dad and live in a house. ' Not great for those who don't have both parents or can't live with a parent. Shockingly poorly written as well. How this was ever published is a mystery. I wish I hadn't wasted my money.

I have been looking for a good book to welcome my new class and I am delighted that I have finally found one! It has beautiful illustrations and the message throughout is lovely. I was a bit concerned that it may be full of Americanisms but the only words were ‘mom’ and ‘stepmom’, which can easily be substituted when read aloud. I have taken one star off due to the quality of the book, as it is rather flimsy compared to other children’s books.
I really can’t wait to read the book to my class! Thank you!
