This is essentially an attempt at taking destiny players from destiny - by adding an accessible story - a non stingy loot system - and ripping everything else almost verbatim from Destiny’s current state. This is a fun game with two Frieds. The powers cool down very quickly - hear and stats make for fun customization based on how u play. And the character selections allow for everyone to find one that fits a play style - mine - run in and shoot everything = the tank option. U get it for 40-50$ well worth it. And all release date problems seem fixed.
This game is really good, the hours I’ve spent on it so far exploring and doing the side missions have been 20+, the graphics look really good on the PS5 and an 80 inch TV, so far out of the PS5 games currently released to me this one has been the best.
This game is a bit of everything... but it's really an RPG shooter, and there is a LOT to shoot! It's a ton of fun and looks glorious on the PS5! It reminded me of The Division but with a lot more action.
- Long campaign... you're looking at roughly 25 hours - Co-op play!!! - A LOT of customization and upgrading - Quite a bit to do after the campaign is over if you like to do side quests and stuff like that - Looks great on the PS5 - Some of the action is just MAYHEM and is a lot of fun, especially if you have a good sound system
- The story is average. There were some cut scenes that I just picked up my phone and checked out the sports news instead of paying attention - The game crashed for me twice. I'm not sure if it's just bad luck or if it's common - If you aren't into frequently upgrading and customizing your character, you might get annoyed with it
Overall I would give it a 4/5. Lots of fun and will keep you playing for quite awhile :)
I guess that sometimes it pays off to wait for a sale or a little bit after a game is release to acquire it. That's what I did with Outriders and glad I did. Going through the reviews, I wasn't sure what to expect, but by the time I bought it, many patches were releases and I'm having a blast with this one! Great graphics, good story and overall great game! I have have about 5 hours into it so far and no performance issue at all. Probably one of my favorite game so far on the PS5.
