I am a HUGE fan of Jenni Kayne, and loved the first book. So, I was very much looking forward to this home edition but unfortunately ended up pretty let down by it. I was expecting the book to be filled with Jenni Kayne designed spaces, including pieces from the home collection (furniture, textiles, etc.), and then like the first book, details/explanation on how to create that look in your own home. Instead, the book is more a compilation of homes that inspire Jenni, but most of them (aside from a few in the book) are actually quite different from what you'd see on the Jenni Kayne social feeds and blog. Overall it felt a bit sterile, bland, and unapproachable. I sadly returned the book and hope future book editions might be more true to the brand.

I wanted to love this book, I pre-orderd it and was excited to get it, as I am a huge fan of her blog, but it is oddly bland. It’s all been done before. The recipes are mediocre, the styling is a bit stilted and contrived and some of it is downright impractical ( check beach picnic).
The price was decent, so I am not hugely regretful but feeling underwhelmed at the impact I thought it would have. It’s pretty but not substantive. Momentary and muted eye candy.

I really enjoyed her first book, Pacific Natural, but I am really regretting the purchase of this one. Every page is minimal and beige. They all started to look the same. Not much text. I was so uninspired I quit reading halfway through and will put it on my stack of books to donate.
