Fantastic results

I am so glad I found this collar, it worked on my dogs immediately and I got shocked myself and it wasn’t bad, just a quick correction. The only issue I have is it can move easily away from the dogs vocal chords so it has to be fitted properly to stay in place. I actually bought a second one after the first because I liked it so much.

BEWARE - can make your pet sick!

I got these and was happy to see them individually wrapped. They look the same as the originals, however, I used one in my scheduled maintenance and cleaning of our petsafe drinkwell 360 stainless steel fountain and was horrified to see what I’ve been feeding my pets.

As with any carbon filter for drinking water, aquariums, etc. I rinsed thoroughly in advance of installing with our clean filtered tap water. After a few hours of use I noticed white debris and bugs floating in the water. I presumed it was from our dog being a messy drinker and debris deposited from facial hair, so I re-cleaned everything including filters and replaced. Same thing happened.

I opened another new filter and repeated the cleaning before use
Protocol, as well as thoroughly scrubbing the stainless steel 360 pet safe fountain. A hot soapy water scrub of hardware, filters and pump scrubbed with brushes, and the new filter rinsed thoroughly in clean filtered water. An hour later, bugs and white crap floating again.

I removed the filter and put it in a clean glass with clean filtered water and waited, sure enough, the water soon had things floating in it. So I broke open the white plastic casing to examine the contents, pouring some of the charcoal into another new clean glass with clean water, and the other onto the cupboard to sift through.

I gave the charcoal pebbles on the bottom of the glass a stir and it was a tornado of debris. While examining the little pebbles of charcoal on the counter, I watched a bug crawl out.

Lesson learned. I will only buy the Pet Safe brand filters as these must have been manufactured in China. I’m heartbroken to think I inadvertently fed dirty water to pets, both have experienced uncharacteristic diarrhea and vomiting lately.

Before writing this review I attempted to contact the seller and advise, hoping it was an anomaly and they’d make it right. No luck, no correspondence, no refunds. So please, pay the extra, don’t make your four-legged friends sick. :(

1. The collar is too heavy, thus uncomfortable for smaller dogs.
2. Very hard to get the battery in. Needed a pliers to twist the coin so the lid could come off.
3. Hardly beeps but it certainly STINGS! (CRUEL!!!)
4. You have to adjust the battery a few times for the device to work.
5. My poor dog. Despite the heavy collar with piercing and stinging prongs, she continued barking in retaliation to the torture I inflicted upon her.
I HATE THIS PRODUCT and I really don't understand the great ratings it received!

I put the collar on tightly around my dog's neck to make sure there is good contact, and still, my dog (a mastiff) barks and barks and barks. I tried the collar (yes, I really did) and "barked" loudly, and the electric shock I received was not powerful, hardly a tickle.

These are fantastic and such a great deal. Having such a large quantity on hand is fantastic for remembering to clean and swap out the filters. I have 3 dogs so I’m constantly filling the fountain 2-4 times a day. That’s a lot of doggy drool going through these filters and they hold up just fine. The fountain runs like new every time and cleans out the nasties perfectly!

I had my last set of filters for a long time. I don't change the filters every month but rinse them out under hot water and then cold to deactivate the charcoal.. I also use a non toxic disinfectant like vinegar spray into the openings of the filter....I do change it after three months but I think changing them every month is unnecessary....so far my cats are still drinking and healthy... I highly recommend anyone to buy the ceramic or stainless steel Drinkwell 360 fountain for their cats...It encourages them to drink more and this fountain is easy to clean....

yes, this 3 pk original is a few bucks more, but these filters will also last longer than the cheaper ones.
I have 6 indoor cats and they can drink a lot (for a cat) and then there is the evaporation thing going on, I change the water every couple of days, take the Drinkwell 360 apart and clean everything, and also rinse the filter. All this seems to make things work better

I haven't had any problems with it breaking down like I read in other reviews prior to buying this unit. I got this for my 2 cats who are extremely picky, won't drink water out of a bowl, we had a leaking bath tub facet, the oldest cat would jump into the tub and drink that water won't even look at the water bowl didn't matter if it was fresh or not. When we got the facet replaced no more dripping water, he wasn't happy, couldn't walk into the bathroom without him on your heels meowing at you like hey turn on the damn water. Tried this out, both cats love it. I'm happy to have the cats out of my tub and not trying to drink water out of the toilet like a dog, when someone forgets to put the seat down. Really liked the different flow valves that came with it. Shipping was great came a little bit earlier than was expected, easy to set up and easy to clean in comparison to other brands I tried.
