To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I keep coming back to this soap because it smells absolutely heavenly. I bought several smaller bars so I can keep one bar in each of my dresser drawers. They make everything, including my bedroom, smell wonderful! I can't bear to use these soaps in the shower. Not yet.
Irritated my hands and wrists after washing several times a day over a period of just a few days. Bought lavender, safe, gardenia and peony. All of them had the same affect on everyone in my family and guests. Left slimy feeling at first so thought it was moisturizing but in the end it was severely irritating and dried hands and wrists dramatically. Took two weeks of going back to my other soap and a lot of "100% pure" moisturizer or "good common sense" moisturizer. I am not affiliated with either of them but highly recommend them in opposition to anything irritating
The 1 star rating is due to the careless packaging. This soap was to be for decorative purposes in an old fashioned soap dish in the guest bathroom. I have purchased this brand of soap in shops and have been happy with it, and like the idea that it is wrapped in cellophane for displaying. I wanted a pink bar, and this turned out to be more of a tannish-pink, not the pretty pink color in the picture. The biggest disappointment is that it was shipped in a thinly padded envelope with nothing wrapped around the soap to protect it. The corner of the soap is smashed in and looks white and powdery on the corner, making it unfit for display. The cellophane was opened on both ends so it wouldn't be practical for display purposes. So disappointed, and am afraid to purchase more after this experience.
