Maleficient Viper gives him some pointers and teach him after the trial. One of the tip is to get to his pillar of civilization and to own it…
Jake is not trying to do everything and happily delegate the running of his city when he finds a manager while continuing his learning and grinding regimen. He even find a new D grade enemy to fight in the future and a feathered new teacher.

sparky boi are very enjoyable. As always the alchemy and non combat are just as enjoyable as the actual combat. I hope holy boi dies for good and it just gets focused on Sparky and Jake

That was not what I was expecting, a mixture of the ending of the last arc and the start of the new placement on earth. I found this interesting but find that I still prefer our main character over the auger any day. Seeing so many new players come in at one point but no expansion other than their backstories was a little different. I am hoping they will come in more in the future but loved the dynamic between the Malefic Viper and Jake made it fun and I had moments of hell yeh challenges! While William, Jacob and others are not my favourite characters and break the fun of the hunt I can see why they are needed.

Jake just keeps grinding and growing and no challenge is to tough , great sequel which concentrates on our favourite sociopath but also updated us on the progress of Javob,William and co. I usually dislike introspection from the MC but the author handles it really well and it doesn't become tedious like so often , and the last quarter of the book gives tantalising looks into other players undergoing various different tutorials who are obviously going to be encountering Jake in the next book, ,one in particular could blow his mind.Seriously anticipating the next book.

Still as fun as book one, it's no sprawling fantasy with entwining plots and characters. But it's good fun all the same, bit of a guilty pleasure book.

I did feel a bit peeved by all of the characters being introduced out of no where, to then never be seen again. I can only hope we see them in the next book.
