Created in the Emperor’s own image, the primarchs had long thought themselves to be princes of the universe and masters of their own destiny – they led the Space Marine Legions in glorious conquest of the galaxy, and no enemy of the Imperium could stand against them. However, even amongst this legendary brotherhood, the seeds of dissent had been sown long before the treacherous Warmaster Horus declared his grand heresy. ABOUT THE BOOK Gathered within this anthology are four novellas focusing on some of the mightiest warriors and leaders that mankind has ever known – Fulgrim, Lion El’Jonson, Ferrus Manus and the twin primarchs Alpharius and Omegon – and the roles that they may have yet to play in a war which threatens to change the face of the Imperium forever.
Read it because
Four – or is it five? – primarchs are explored in-depth. The Emperor's Children fight to save Fulgrim's soul from the daemon that has enslaved him. Ferrus Manus faces alien horrors and the truth of his destiny. The Lion must pick sides in a war between his brother Legions. And the Alpha Legion plot against... themselves.
The eBook edition includes integrated illustrations of characters and events from the story, and an afterword that places the story in context within the series.

About the Author
Gav Thorpe has been rampaging across the worlds of Warhammer and Warhammer 40,000 for many years as both an author and games developer. He hails from the den of scurvy outlaws called Nottingham and makes regular sorties to unleash bloodshed and mayhem. He shares his hideout with Dennis, a mechanical hamster sworn to enslave mankind. At the moment Dennis is under house arrest for attempting to use Skype to hack the worlds nucleur arsenals. Gav's previous Black Library novels include fan-favourite Angels of Darkness and the epic Sundering trilogy, amongst many others.
Rob Sanders is a writer who teaches and a teacher who writes. Every day he goes to Mintz Elementary School in Brandon, Florida, to teach students about books and words and reading and writing. Then he heads back home to write fierce and funny picture books for kids. Rob likes to grow things, teach things, learn things, and read things. He’s definitely an earthbound human, but he has high-flying ideas, hopes, and dreams. Nothing gets him soaring quite as much as hearing boys and girls say, “Read it again!” Visit Rob’s website at RobSandersWrites.com.
