We own two of these sprinklers, bought one and was so impressed we bought another. We have used them several times over the past 2 weeks to water our acreage yard. The diameter of the sprinkler is impressive, about 40 foot diameter (which is why I gave it 3 stars)! However, after only a week of use, moving it around the yard maybe a dozen or so times, the lower part of the base (which is metal) snapped off in the ground and our ground is quite moist, so this was surprising. I have always pressed it straight down into the ground, no wiggling. Not sure why this happened. Fortunately, there is still enough 'stem' left for it to stick into the ground (although not as easily) to still be functional , but it was disappointing none the less.
UPDATE: the second sprinkler has now snapped in the same spot as the first, so obviously a design flaw. Hoping we can have a friend file them into a 'V" again so that they are easier to insert into the ground.
