Yes, it makes for a rather low receiver/hitch. It could have been designed to sit up another inch. It seems to clear everything fine as is, but it would have been nice if it had fit up just a bit tighter.
I would definitely buy it again if I needed another one.
The installation took a bit of time, but that's mostly because I am really, really old!! Definitely go out and watch the videos on how to install it if you haven't installed one yet. Oh... and... one of the pieces of hardware was completely defective and unusable. I had to build new hardware myself. I didn't contact the vendor so I can't speak for how they might have responded. I needed the hitch sooner than I felt I could wait. So, if you buy one of these, examine the hardware closely before starting the install.
