Hailing from Sydney, Australia, Anthony developed a passion for gaming and the fantasy genre early, spending endless hours as a kid reading, role-playing, painting toy soldiers, playing games on the PC and the tabletop, and watching and rewatching fantasy and sci-fi classics. To be fair, not much has changed over the years. This passion led him to the UK in his early twenties, where he managed to snag a job at Games Workshop. He worked as a Games Developer in the early to mid 2000s, designing rules and writing background for Warhammer, and then working as Studio Art Manager. He had his first novel published in 2006, and soon ventured into the unsteady waters of freelancing. During this time, he wrote a bunch of novels for Black Library publishing, including his Word Bearers trilogy, Bretonnian series, as well as standalone books, short stories, audio dramas. He also worked on several different games, contributing through consultation, worldbuilding, story, and VO.

He joined Riot Games in 2014, where he’s worked on the Champ team for League of Legends, ran the company’s Worldbuilding team for a number of years, written bucketloads of short stories and contributed to the storytelling in a number of different mediums… and is currently working on a (kinda) top secret R+D project. After years living abroad in the UK and the US, he now resides back home in Sydney near the beach with his wife Beth, daughter Maya, and son Avery.
