4.0 out of 5 stars Big difference between Gen 1 and Gen 2
Reviewed in the United States on November 28, 2020
The weight, size, shape are all different on the Gen 2 plug in Adapter. Also note that Gen 2 gives off DC power instead of AC. However Ring does say this is ok for some of their doorbells, check their website for compatibility.

Gen 2 weights much less, and is smaller all around, good upgrade.

Taking away 1 star because the wire is much shorter than Gen 1. If you have a long run then you cannot use this without splicing in and adding more wire. I wish Ring left this as long as Gen 1.
