1.0 out of 5 stars This Spirulina is likely dangerous. Buy from a different source.
By Alfred on September 5, 2020
Spirulina is grown and manufactured in China, not Canada. Since it’s grown in China it is not in any way beneficial and is in fact harmful. If Spirulina is grown in Japan or China it’s probably best you do not buy it as it is likely contaminated with heavy metals.

I used this product for a total of three days. In those three days my stomach felt strange, my energy levels decreased and on the third day I woke up with a headache that was quite painful. I took some more and threw up which prompted me to do some research on this brand and Spirulina in general.

What I’ve found out is that there is no proof that this brand of Spirulina has been tested or is even known about by health Canada, the fda, or the USDA. I’ve also found out that the symptoms I’ve experienced could possibly be a result of consumption of heavy metals. Heavy metals include lead, thallium, mercury, arsenic etc.

I know this product seems attractive, mainly due to the price, but that in of itself could be an indicator that this product is very low in quality. I’d recommend Spirulina grown in a place like Hawaii, Canada, even the USA. Basically anywhere where the production of it is monitored somewhat and it is tested for heavy metals and adverse effects as China has a very unregulated for market for supplements and health products.

Personally, I would never buy one of this brands products ever again and wouldn’t trust them with any of my health products as the claimed at one point that this Spirulina was in fact produced in Canada. Which is completely dishonest.

I’ve taken a few photos to show the lack of information or certifications this brand has, while also proving that I did use this this product as the seal is broken and some of the contents have been used.

1.0 out of 5 stars It is not flavorless!
By Moe on May 24, 2020
At first, I was excited to have this product but it ruins the taste of my morning smoothie! I only add 1 teaspoon of that in 16 oz of smoothie. I couldn't taste anything else just seaweed.
The other point is, it is true that Spirulina has high nutrition but there is no label on the product confirming that. So, I got this feeling that maybe they don't have the permission of having that on their product
