To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Ruby Rose loves to dance from morning till night. But at school they keep wanting her to do other things! It's a contest which is more fun - Debbie Ridpath Ohi's playful illustrations (which include a secret homage) or Rob Sanders' verbilicious prose. The ending is delightful and unpredictable and the whole book is one big glorious story-samba. Here's hoping Ruby Rose dances her way into many, many more adventures!
Rob Sanders writes picture books children will beg to reread and adults will be happy to oblige. Debbie Ohi's illustrations bring Ruby Rose to life. Ruby is sure to become everyone's favorite dancing star. Her joy is irresistible as she dances off to her first day in school.
I liked the story about this energetic little girl and love the illustrations. I bought it as a gift for my granddaughter. Another adult, a teacher, thought the story was a bit negative for the "no dancing in school" theme.
