I purchased a 2-pack of replacement water filters for my Samsung refrigerator. Although the Cartridge and Filter Model numbers match the original filter, this product is not the original as it has one O-ring on the neck of the filter compared to two O-rings on the neck of the original (please refer to photo). I tried to force it into the filter hole, but it would not snap into place. I’m returning these useless filters.

Bought the two pack and couldn't get the filter in. My fiancé managed to get it in and all was good for about four weeks until one day at lunch last week while I was in the kitchen water just started pouring out of our Samsung refrigerator! I opened the door and a piece of the filter fell to the ground. Water gushed out of the opening and I couldn't pull the rest of the filter out to stick in the other one I had on hand. My fingers wouldn't fit in to get a grip on it. I was home alone, couldn't pull the fridge out of its nook to turn off the water shut off value, so I had to turn off the electricity to our pump (we're in the country, on a well) and had to turn on all the faucets to run the water out of our system to get it to stop. Our shut off valve under the house is rusted shut so that wasn't a fix. Thank God I was there. I had to bail water till it stopped then it took every towel I owned to clean up the mess. Afterward I read reviews online and discovered many people have problems with getting these filters to fit, but in my five minutes of research, I didn't come across any similar issues. Anyway, look at the picture. It broke and I couldn't get the part stuck inside the fridge to come out. My fiancé had to unscrew parts of the cover to finally get it out. I have the second one in, but I feel like it's a ticking time bomb. Seriously, Samsun, why won't you fix this issue? I will be sending this back when I get time to deal with it. UPDATE - the second filter failed last night too!!! Don't buy this product.
