I took one star off because it takes sometime to clean the bottle and beside the lid came off from one of the bottles (I bought 2).
Edit: I came back to edit my review. After only a month of use, both lids (I Bought two) off. What’s the point of having a water bottle if the straw is exposed to get dirty? I ended up buying another model for my son.
My child is developing typically so far, but I try to be aware of OT and speech path recommendations around appropriate drink ware - as that can impact oral and speech development in a longer term. Straw cups are therefore recommended over sippy cups.
These cups are really nice, and we have another size of this cup from this company. The weighted straw helps kiddo sip regardless of where straw is pointed, which is nice until they have more control.
The thing that is far from ideal is that the straw is nearly impossible to clean in any kind of reliable way. I wish someone would make (or point me forwards) a simple NON-sippy cup, with few pieces, that is ergonomically designed, won’t leak in a lunch bag, and is reasonable to clean.
It is a tall order, I know, but if this is what you are also looking for - this cup is close but not exactly “it”. Also, my kid doesn’t seem to like it as much as other straw cups, or even water inside a squeasy!
