Storm Faerywolf is a professional author, experienced teacher, visionary poet, and practicing warlock. He is an initiate of the Faery tradition and has been practicing the magical arts since he was a child. He holds the Black Wand of a Faery Master and has been teaching both privately and publicly since 1992. He is the founder of BlueRose; a school and lineage of the Faery tradition, and is one of the founding teachers of Black Rose; a school and style of practical folkloric Witchcraft.

He is the author of several books including “The Stars Within the Earth”, “Betwixt & Between”, “Forbidden Mysteries of Faery Witchcraft”, "The Witch's Name", and "The Satyr's Kiss". He is a regular columnist for the Pagan news organization, The Wild Hunt, and has contributed to various magazines, podcasts, and blogs with his musings on magic, folklore, spirituality, LGBTQ culture, and politics.

He lives with his life partners in the San Francisco Bay Area where together they own and run Datura Trading Co., an esoteric boutique which offers magical products and services. This is a lunacy book.
As Satanic Warlock I always expect a laugh from a right hand book and sometimes a little knowledge for real witchcraft (that would be left hand of course) But this book is ridiculous. The “male witch” Who wrote this say it’s ok dedication to comic books or tv series characters instead of deities or daemons(he says he’s dedicated to Wonder Woman!). He clearly has an agenda and it’s mixing the Wiccan wheel of the year with pride, trans awareness day or Harvey Milk’s anniversary really! The rest of the book it’s about performing orgies.
As gay sex book it’s a cliché as witchcraft book it’s a bad joke even for right hand male Witches…

When I heard about the release of this book I was excited to finally get another title for the Queer male witch. Hoping to find something to add to my own existing practice. What is presented here is a stereotypical approach of how queer men act. The fact that a gay man is the author is honestly a surprise being it paints gay men in an unsavory light of sex crazed individual who is looking for a hook up at all times with nothing else on his mind. I have been a practicing witch for over 20 years and never have I heard of a male adult toy being used as a sacred or working tool in any tradition of witchcraft. If someone chooses to incorporate these “working” into their own practice so be it however this is not how witchcraft traditions for gay men need to work or do work.The reason this title gets one star is the suggestion of queer ancestral veneration and Mr. Fareywolf’s addition of queer ancestors Feast days and the explanation of why honoring them is important. How ever that was a stretch. I urge the Seeker to do a lot of research into different traditions before undergoing an initiation that is more suited to be on the shelf of an adult video store and not posing as something as beautiful an an initiation ceremony.

Storm Faerywolf's "The Satyr's Kiss" is as much a book about practical, self-empowered expression of our magical lives as Queer persons as it is a stunningly poetic presentation of his personal path.

Without coming-off militant or overreaching to express the overall Queer experience, Faerywolf offers a gentle, modern and at times, delightfully playful look at magical practice from a Queer male perspective.

That does not, however, limit this book's value to those who identify strictly as men, nor does it limit itself to those who identify as neo-pagan. As an agender, secular and non-binary practitioner, I found Faerywolf's book inspiring. It gives us insight into his unique perspective, and as part of the LGBTQ+ community, that informs my practice and deepens bonds between me and my less-secular siblings on the path.

With a natural, almost conversational writing style, readers of his other wonderful books will be familiar with, this book is one of those books you can read in a night or two, because it's so engaging; but will want to revisit in shorter "bites" as well, to allow the rich, poetic, celebration of Queer Magic to wash over you, and reach those places we might not have realised need the healing of magic to touch.

Wonderfully written and a must for Pride Season. This book is rich in Queer history. Storm helps queer your craft. Though it’s target is queer men, I was able to find some of the exercises to be helpful for any gender.
I highly recommend for so many queer identifying people.

Storm tackles things like gender and venerating those queer people who came before us. This book also has some “spicy” exercises sure to engage you more intimately in your spiritual journey.
