These are nice. Paid $3.99? Worth about that. They are nice and kid likes them. Good buy for a beginner. Also, look up the Dolch sight word list. That is the list of words that kids need to learn by memory and can’t sound out. Make your own flash cards for them. It really helps. These are a good addition too though.
These cards don't make much sense for toddlers. For example, a picture of a donut says "more", then on the back a picture of an empty plate says "all gone". Toddlers learning to talk and identify objects would say "donut" and "plate".
Great product , nice and colourful . We love 95% of the cards . But the ones like “all gone” “sitting” “standing” are kind of hard for my son to know what it is just based on the picture . Besides those few cards to pack is great ! I’ve bought all the other categories of flash cards from scholastic !
These cards have been amazing i purchased them for my 2 year old daughter and she already knew a few words but with these cards it has made it alot easier and fun for her while she is learning she loves them so much she asks for them all the time and has them almost memorized. I strongly reccomend for learning toddlers.
The pictures are clear and realistic, as well they’re big in size. The only thing I didn’t like is some of the words with the correlating pictures didn’t make sense for toddlers learning to talk. Would work well for older kids learning opposites.
I should have read the reviews before buying this set... It is for toddlers who already know how to compare since the picture of the elephant is the word 'big'. Gotta save it until my kid is old enough.
Not the greatest for FIRST words. I feel like the could of done a way better job at different pictures and choices of first simple words which I thought is what I purchased. There are way better cards out there.
I wish I had not assumed how thick I expected these to be they are so thin that if you are trying to use these with an active toddler boy like mine when he gets a hold of them, he can fold them very easily.
These are good quality and nice pictures. The babies get a kick out of them. The drawback is that I expected a product stating it is first words to be more noun-oriented versus concepts (dirty/clean, up/down), some of which are more difficult to learn from a card. Otherwise I like them.
