Where's the remote, you ask?
Why, it's right there.
That's right, Daddy bought a neon green glow-in-the-dark remote cover with grips that can't slide between cushions.
Daddy wins this round! MUA HA HA HA!
Seriously, both glow and don't slip into the couch.
In the dark picture, the remote is in the blue case, which glows greenish as well. The green case glows brighter.

They DON'T really glow

When we think of glow in the dark we expect to see a certain amount of "fluorescent glow". If you bring this into a completely 100% pitch black dark room (like a bathroom in a coal mine at midnight), it glows maybe 5-10% of what you might expect. So given that a regular dark room lets says 30% (because you'll always get a little bit of light from somewhere)...these will not be glowing enough to see any kind of glowing. Therefore the glow feature is useless.

Unless there's some way to activate them that I don't know they do not glow it's the only reason I bought silicone cases waste of money

The product I received is exactly what I was expecting. I had seen some reviews complaining about difficulty in putting the covers on the remotes, and that they covered buttons. I had neither of those problems. I'll admit it took a little bit of effort to put the cover on, but that just means it wont slide off easily. None of the buttons are obstructed in any way. They are now slightly recessed, but still work fine. I just have to get used to the new feel. The remote feels secure in it's cover and my hand. I do find it takes a fair bit of light exposer before they will glow.
