But it barely mentions how any of these investment strategies can actually be applied in a 'socially responsible' way. The author essentially tells us that we should do our research involving individual companies because it's apparently out of the scope of the book.
Most of the chapter on environmental investing explains why companies want to be greener because in the long run that will save them money. Well obviously this isn't enough incentive.
A large portion of the book is devoted to investing according to various religious laws. If that's your definition of 'socially responsible investing' then maybe this is the book for you.
The most useful sections are the lists of mutual funds and ETFs and what their mission statements are. But again, half of them are for religious groups.
This is a decent generic book about investment strategies with 'socially responsible' tacked on.
