5.0 out of 5 starsGo go go!!!
Reviewed in Canada on January 18, 2021
I listened to a lot of reviews before buying this headset. For trying the XM4, for 1/5 the price, that's fantastic. The app works great, it's simple, maybe a bit too much. The noise reducer is doing a sufficient job for me. Connecting 2 devices is magic. The battery, between 40 and 60 hours! And the sound! I am a professional musician in the symphony orchestras in Montreal, that’s a yes without hesitation. I just had some fry (little sizzle) on the right side one night, I keep my 5 star but I'm listening, hope it doesn't come back.

1.0 out of 5 starsSo comfortable! Sound quality is honestly some of the best I've had at this price.
Reviewed in Canada on December 4, 2020
After watching a few reviews I decided to give these headphones a try! SUPER clean sound, the comfort was so nice and the headphones themselves were nice and light. Battery life seems to be top notch and the overall quality feels very premium for the price. Pleased with my purchase.

Update: Seems like noise canceling has an issue. I'm receiving these strange "clicks" of sort when listening to anything with noise canceling on. Really disappointing since these headphones were great overall.

3.0 out of 5 stars best value for money

Pardon me dor not including pictures.
1.) Sound Quality: Out of the box they are so bass heavy, I mean really bass heavy. but once you fiddle around the EQ on its app; lower the bass a little bit, then it beats most of the headphones even the sony whxm4.

2.) fit and comfort: They are mediocore at best. too loose, I say my head is medium to large 5"9 and they are still pretty loose. I don't recommend bending over when headphone is on your head otherwise it'll just fall off.

Good for walking around, I usually put my hood on, it helps preventing it from sliding off. they are light. same as sony xm4

3.) Noise cancellation: You cant really find a descent noise cancellation for $100, they are ok. but when you have something playing on you dont hear any outside noise

4.) Battery life: it is very good. no charge for a week of use.

1.0 out of 5 stars They were great but they really don't stand the test of time.

I have been using these headphones as my daily driver for a long while now. While o I own a variety of wired and wireless headphones... These have always been my favorite. They are the most comfortable, and the sound is solid for all types of listening.

Unfortunately the quality doesn't appear to be there. My headphones haves developed a strange clicking noise and have constant strange feedback. To the point where these headphones are no long useable.

A word of warning for those of you who might be considering these due to their strong reviews and attractive price... They probably won't last long.

2.0 out of 5 stars Great but Anker needs better quality control
Reviewed in Canada on April 4, 2021
Color Name: blackVerified Purchase
The sound is great, ANC is good but not anywhere as good as Bose or Sony. The buttons are loose and Anker needs to fix that they don't fit properly and can rattle.

My 1st set had also one earpad that was not properly glued and that somehow passed QC. Replacement set had an echo in one ear when connected with a 3.5mm wire and both sets had audible interference feedback when connected to my Denon.

These are great but Anker needs to fix these issues ASAP if they want me to buy another of their products.

Edit: 2 month in, the headband clip cracked, check picture. Now it fell out. I'm waiting for a 2nd replacement set. I asked support for q35 since these have SO MANY quality control issues but they wouldn't do it.

My last Anker product unfortunately.

Edit 2: The second replacement set appears to have improved(revised) earpads with more padding that doesn't collapse.

However the very same clip cracked and fell out AGAIN! It's a clear weak point. With hundreds of AND headphones on the market now, Anker needs to get their act together.

1.0 out of 5 stars not really that good
Reviewed in Canada on June 14, 2021

Developed for oversensitive millennials that must wear noise cancellation headset in a library at their liberal universities. In real life, on airplanes or noisy environments, the headsets are completely useless. I believe one of the problems is the headset on its own does low NRR rating. And the electronic noise cancelling can not make up for it. I can take $30 NRR 33 earmuffs and place regular earbuds in my ears and they will do more noise cancelling than these.

1.0 out of 5 stars Does not seem to work with iPhone SE2
Reviewed in Canada on November 28, 2021
Color Name: blackVerified Purchase
I bought two pairs of these for my family. Neither pair seems to work with the iPhone SE 2s we have.

Both pairs of headphones have frequent dropouts lasting a fraction of a second. The dropouts are quite disruptive, obviously, when you are trying to enjoy music.

Re-pairing the connection, resetting the headphones, switching phones, and switching headphones didn’t work.

Since the phones work with other headphones, including Soundcore headphones, I have to conclude it’s a problem with the Q30s.

1.0 out of 5 stars Unfortunately to many technical issues
Reviewed in Canada on April 23, 2021
Color Name: blackVerified Purchase
The design of the product is fine, it's light, seems to be reasonably build. The soft earpads and headband padding are however too loose to bring additional noise isolation and protection.

The sound is decent, not incredible but good. The ANC is good enough to block sounds while staying in touch with your environment. Does not block the mid range, so don't expect to not hear your kids being busy. The Mic is ok, after the update, just ok. The app helps for ANC., the EQ is useless. The app may be at the origin of many trouble.

I am using the device to listen to music, podcast, for distant learning, and for work.
I ran into important problems, despite trouble shooting.

The Bluetooth, drops, the sound brakes a lot, connection is deteriorated or lost pass 4 meters. I lost connection in the middle of important sessions, could not hear or be heard, sitting front of my laptop.

I can't recommend this product. I think it is still in development, unfinished, no ready for sale, annoying with potential (not at my expense).

The company offered to replace the product which is good but I was asked to pay for shipping, would be reimbursed, I found this weird.

I was attracted by what I know from their products, I have 2 other of their devices, and the price. At the end I've lost 2 work days because of this product and I am left with nothing that works. Shall I ask Soundcore to cover my loss?

I had another headset that has been damaged by my children, a higher end product, never had any issue with them, super ANC, sound, connection, comfort, no shiny app, no problem.

1.0 out of 5 stars Oh snap

The sound is great for the price What brings this review to a one star is Ive had them 2 and half months and they have snapped in 2 places all ready where the size is adjusted on both sides. I don't like leaving low star reviews but I expected Anker to be better. Ive bought other things from them and they are stellar but this is not in terms of durability. Update they are officially broken. it was a waste of money. will not buy again

1.0 out of 5 stars Sound Quality is Solid/High End Features Do Not Function (Overhyped)
Reviewed in Canada on July 12, 2021
Color Name: blackVerified Purchase
There are a lot of positive reviews regarding this product. As a value brand, they definitely punch above their weight. However, I've had 2 issues so far; one minor the other major. First, plugging them into a device turns off Bluetooth (e.g. you can't adjust settings using the app on your phone if you have them plugged into your laptop). That's inconvenient but not a dealbreaker. (EDIT: The audio presets don't carry over when the headphones are plugged in...this is actually a dealbreaker when combined with the next point regarding faulty Bluetooth). Second, the Bluetooth cuts in and out whenever noise cancellation is turned on. There are also audio changes as well as hisses and pops whenever the track or video I'm watching changes. I get that this is a value brand and I didn't expect this particular function to be on par with more expensive headphones; however, the feature is entirely unusable (there are also drastically noticeable differences in audio quality when the feature is turned on). I'm going to contact their customer service (maybe I just got a defective pair) and see how it turns out. If they're replaced and the problem persists...they simply aren't worth it (overhyped).

updated!!

after 5 months of using. started to have connection interference and can hear the zz..zz..zz..... sound.
also, the drive is not good, have tiny cracking sound all the time.
now that i want a refund, at least a replacement!!!!
my 3 months review will stay but the longer i use the more "unwated" sound to hear.
completely disappointed.

I have been using this headphone for over 3 months now and here is my review.

the pros.
light weight
comfortable muff
good battery life
connect to 2 devices
has a protection case

the cons.
the muff is comfortable, but also leaks which regardless how good the ANC is build, louder sound passed through.
low punch is not solid.
mid and high is acceptable.
connection will sometime has static sound.
mic reception pickup a lot of surrounding noices.

recommendation? for average price to get an ANC yes. if you can tolerate the cons. otherwise. I wish i can return and refund after all this time.
