About the Author
Alison Donald is the author of The New LiBEARian. After years of scribbling story ideas on envelopes and scrap paper, she joined the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, and their support helped her writing take off. She also works as a paediatric occupational therapist and has over ten years of experience helping children with special needs. Born and raised in Ontario, she now lives in the UK with her husband and their three children.
Ariel Landy aims to create illustrations that are imaginative, whimsical, and original. As soon as she learned how to draw a sky beyond a blue scribbled line, she knew she wanted to be an illustrator. She currently resides in New York City.
Allyson Ryan is an actress with extensive stage, television, and voiceover experience, including commercials, animation, video games, and promos. The narrator of over eighty audiobooks, she received an Earphones Award for her narration of Kaya McLaren's On the Divinity of Second Chances.
Chris Lutkin has been an actor, director, writer, and teacher for over thirty years. He has narrated several audiobooks including The Early Stories of Philip K. Dick, 12 Stories by Edger Allen Poe, and The Red Badge of Courage. He currently resides in Detroit with his wife, Heather, and their rescue dog, Buckaroo.

Importance of a traditionally female activity
Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on March 9, 2020Verified Purchase
I have lots of picture books about famous women. Most of them are written about the first woman to do a traditionally masculine activity. I like this one because it shows that a traditional women's activity done by women was important for getting us to the moon. I want to make sure my kids value all activities, not just traditionally masculine ones.

This book provides valuable information to students about design and the historical perspectives of the creation of the spacesuit. The illustrations are beautiful and grab students' attention to the text. "The Spacesuit" is well worth the price to buy it.
