This device is supper easy to install and activate. When it comes to looks it’s unattractive. It’s looks very toy like and sticks out in an odd manner if stuck on wall. I put on the inside of a door due to this. Ring should consider a design change there. It screams, hey kid press me. Just changing shape to square would help. It should be noted this is not the same as a duress/ panic button on a typical monitored alarm. It activates the siren and the alarm company calls you to see if you need the police. A traditional alarm you can set your panic alarm to be on a siren or silent and the alarm company calls the police directly which is what you want in a real duress situation. I would like to see software updates to give the owner setting options for the panic alarm to have those options. Overall if you can’t get to a phone it will get the police to you eventually it will just take more time due to phone calls being made 1st.

Great little accessory if an emergency arises. For mounting it comes with one screw and drywall anchor, along with a 3M adhesive pad to tape if necessary. It was set up on our system in 2-3 minutes and works great! Very simple add-on but a powerful little tool.

If a live panic situation occurs you hold the button down for 3 seconds and it will sound off the alarm and contact Ring’s professional monitoring if you are subscribed to it. I’d recommend this add-on to everyone.
