Star Trek, giving an alternative view of the early days of the starship Enterprise. James T Kirk's rise from a Cadet to being Captain of the Enterprise, gives an entertaining look at Abrams' vision of the Alternate Star Trek Universe while keeping as close to the original Star Trek lore.

This is a fresh tale of the early lives of the crew of the USS Enterprise, before it's historical 5 year mission.

If you have yet to see this series of Star Trek movies, DO IT NOW. You won't be disappointed.

A lot of action, in the dark.

Yep! I agree! A lot more action ...

... but I thought that a lot of it was in the dark, which made it hard viewing, at times.

Chekov was not in the first season of the Original Star Trek.
But they did say, in the movie, that this was an alternate timeline/reality, so I guess they can pretty much do whatever they like.

On the hole, not bad ... But you need to be a real fan to appreciate it.
