5.0 out of 5 stars Also has the DIGITAL CODES. Incredible Value!
By LiveWire Home on October 12, 2020
So happy to see this “update” of the Star Trek Stardate Bluray Collection show up on Amazon.

I was just about to purchase the prior version (which costs more!) but then noticed the pre-order for this Oct.2020 re-release listing appear.
(At the time of my pre-order purchase, I picked up this set for $44.99 vs. $56.99 for the prior version)

One very important thing to note however... this October 2020 re-release contains the 10 motion pictures on individual blurays but it does NOT include the two additional “bonus” discs as in the prior Stardate collection which have behind the scenes doc’s and cast interviews.

However, what it does have over the prior release is the inclusion of Apple DIGITAL CODES for each individual film! I was able to add all 10 movies to my iTunes library, so I am able to watch any movie wherever /whenever. This was more important to me than having two “bonus” discs that I would probably never get around to watching anyway.

So just keep that in mind. If “bonus” features are more important to you than the Digital Codes then search for the earlier Stardate Collection instead.

In the end, at just over $5 per physical movie along with having all 10 films readily accessible via iTunes or my ATV+ apps I am very happy with this purchase.

This was an outstanding value!

5.0 out of 5 stars New Star Trek Blu Ray release
Reviewed in the United States on November 1, 2020
I was answering a question from another reviewer and decided to post a review as I have just received the new release of the Star Trek 10 movie blu ray and digital collection. Thought I had done my research, maybe not enough. Running times for The Wrath of Khan is listed as 112 min. Star Trek, The Motion Picture is listed as 131 min, per the movie descriptions on the packaging and on the actual discs. Neither lists another cut of the film under special features. I will check out the movies and if there are more options there I will update this info. My understanding reading reviews is this release was just a re-issue of the older set and the only differences were the lack of bonus discs and the included digital copies. The packaging of the blu ray disc is reported to be improved. The blu ray discs in the new set I received are packed well and secure, yet easy to remove. Received the digital codes, yes codes, 10 of them. One for each movie. I thought they would send one code for the 10 movie bundle, as it is being sold that way online, but received 10 codes. I have not bought these movies before. I had a few on VHS and a couple on Laserdisc, but did not buy the dvds, held out for blu ray. Of course, 4K is likely for all of these, but the digital copies are a nice bonus. Online the 10 movie digital copy bundle is selling $69.99 and I paid half of that, tax included, here at Amazon, to get the blu ray discs and digital copies. That is only $3.50 per movie. Cheers!

5 prong disk clamps don't require excessive force to remove discs (unlike previous versions) and still hold the discs in OK ... one disc was loose when I first opened the case (presumably got unseated during shipping) but the disc didn't suffer any scratches. Happy with my purchase!
