What a GREAT, entertaining story! Once I started the book, I couldn't put it down.
So much action and such great descriptions for a young girl living alone in horrible conditions!
I'll definitely be reading more books by this author!

"This tense wire of a novel thrums with suspense. . . . [this book] just might be the highlight of your summer.”–The New York Times
Cheryl Strayed's Wild meets The Revenant in this heart-pounding story of survival and revenge in the unforgiving wilderness.
After: Jess is alone. Her cabin has burned to the ground. She knows if she doesn’t act fast, the cold will kill her before she has time to worry about food. But she is still alive—for now.
Before: Jess hadn’t seen her survivalist, off-the-grid dad in over a decade. But after a car crash killed her mother and left her injured, she was forced to move to his cabin in the remote Canadian wilderness. Just as Jess was beginning to get to know him, a secret from his past paid them a visit, leaving her father dead and Jess stranded.
After: With only her father’s dog for company, Jess must forage and hunt for food, build shelter, and keep herself warm. Some days it feels like the wild is out to destroy her, but she’s stronger than she ever imagined.
Jess will survive. She has to. She knows who killed her father…and she wants revenge.

I loved this book!! (Except for one trope/cliché that I wasn't the biggest fan of although it didn't surprise me it was in there)
I AM STILL ALIVE screams into the wind a story about a girl, a dog, and the wilderness that does not care one way or another if they survive; but despite the harshest elements, the blood in her memory, or the damage in her leg, that girl will stand with her dog and she will choose to live. Heart-pounding, captivating, deadly, and oddly beautiful, this book is a must read for those seeking tales of blunt sugar-free adventure. You'll feel the rain-soaked chills long after you turn that final page.

Amazing

This is not a book of the genres I would normally read, but something about the cover and then the blurb spoke to me.
I also do not tend to actually purchase many books since I subscribe to Kindle Unlimited, but again I read literally a couple of pages of the sample and I was hooked.
This book is brilliantly written, with twists and turns to keep you interested, the characters are believable, likeable and you really feel for the main character and Bo.
I even immediately recommended this book to my husband. This was honestly unputdownable and a pure pleasure to read.

A great tale of survival and triumph! Well written characters and amazingly thought out plot! I really was repulsed when Jess had to dig up her fathers grave and loot it, just goes to show the talent of the author!
Book also arrived in good quality
