Moving into a rundown Victorian house with a vampire living in the basement isn’t as bad as I thought, but things go from weird to weirder when a badly injured gnome collapses in my back yard.
The surprising part? It’s my friend Nin’s long-lost grandfather.
Since he’s unconscious, we can’t figure out who’s chasing him, or where he’s been all these years, but if we can’t help him, he’ll die.
To make matters worse, there’s a new dragon in town. A female dragon. Everyone knows females are more dangerous than the males, and this one takes an instant dislike to me. It seems that she wants to date my mate, Zav, and has his mother’s approval.
If I can’t avoid her wrath and find a way to cure the gnome, Nin’s going to lose her grandfather, and I’m going to end up deader than the vampire in the basement.

Yup, another great read and more Val kicking ass, plus lots of dragons, and yes the hunky dragon is involved in this story, don't worry, and yes he and Val are still hot for each other, how hot, well you'll have to read the book to find out! Add in coffee, lots of humor, portal travel, gnomes, maybe a dwarf, i mentioned dragons but did i metion they come in many delightful colours such as black, blue, sliver, red and gold, yup read this book and you will experience these colors for yourself! So, to recap, there is loads of great stuff in this book, and wrapped around that stuff is a wonderful story, my favourite so far!

A fun book and it was great to see how Zav and Val finally got together with dragons always trying to put a stop to their relationship. They've grown a lot as a couple and perhaps what I enjoy about this series the most are the characters -all unique and weird! (even Amber and Thad). And that's relatable since I think we all kind of feel that way at times.
Seeing more of the relationship development between Val and her daughter has added a lot to the story and the addition of Nin's grandfather as well as a possible love interest for Willard added more depth to the story. It's been a fun read so far and it's great to know the series isn't over yet!

So just wanted to say that this book/series is AMAZING - couldn't put it down. As always Lindsay Buroker writes a great story and I am so hoping she will continue on with this series!!! (Fingers crossed!)
I have to say that Lindsay Buroker is my most favourite author - I have read ALL of her books and have never once been disappointed. I highly recommend her books.
My biggest disappointment is that she can't write fast enough so that I can be constantly reading her books :).
You will not be disappointed with any of her books. Yay Lindsay keep on writing please!!!

Another great book by Lindsay. Looking forward to much more on these two. Sindari make for more action and love his connection to Val. This book wraps up quite a few things but leaves more questions. Perhaps more about the queen dragons acceptance of Val? Also still lots of things anout Nin, and the rest of the gang still have many adventures left open. So would love more books on them all. Thanks for your great imaginative writing. More please.

I have read all the books in this series and have enjoyed every one of them. I am so thankful that the author chose to put it on Kindle Unlimited. I am sad to learn that this may be the last in the series. I would dearly love to read more of their adventures. Dragons, magic silver tiger, elves and all manner of magical beings stroll, fight and romp through the pages .

I first encountered this author on YouTube, now I'm hooked!
I only ever give reviews on books I've thoroughly enjoyed, and I rarely give 5 stars.
However, I have listened to or read all the previous books in this series and this ones been the best so far.
The humorous dialogue, great plot and the twists and turns have been so much fun.
I started book one last Saturday, today's Friday...
I'm about to start book seven...
I think I may be developing a problem🙄
More authors should have the courage to put their audiobooks on YouTube.
If I hadn't been doing some home reorganisation and been tired of listening to music I wouldn't have come across this author.

I’m sorry that this series is finished for now. It was a great ending omg to this story arc but I would love to read more. I think Val is my favorite character in all Lindsay’s books. Dragons, a great female lead who isn’t perfect but it just makes her more believable, with laugh out loud humour. What’s not to like. Please do write more. There are a few loose ends such as Val’s asthma, a wedding and a romance for Willard too that would be great to come back to. Any dragon offspring...maybe Zoltan could do something.

Had this been the final book in the series, that would have been ok, as it was brilliant, but more are coming! The next one is out now, so I'm off to read it, but seriously, read this series.
I wasn't completely sure how I'd find it at the start (I don't normally read much set in the roughly present day), but it worked so much better than I expected.
The characters are interesting, nuanced, and even after 6 books, still have room for more exposition.
The conclusion of many of the storylines here was very enjoyable, the writing is well paced, and there were no content errors to jar me out of the world. Thoroughly enjoyed!
