Product is robust and built well, however I doubt the thin-profile bungy cord inside the steel hollow tubes that connect the two ends will last more than a year or two of regular weekly use (and it isn’t accessible to replace when it does snap). The opening/closing mechanisms are easy to use and lock in place firmly to keep clamps closed. The steel clamps on each end are coated in hard plastic and will scratch up most bike frames, so a rubber or foam or cloth pad between bar adapter and bike frame should be used. See pictures for actual bar and clamp measurements, and note my wife’s bike has a 26” span from handlebar to seat post, which this bar adapter works perfectly for. I wouldn’t want to use this for spans larger than that because it’ll stretch and strain the bungy cord too much. Go up to Swagman’s higher-end bar adapter for greater spans. All in all, it’s worth the $50 I paid for it, but I don’t expect it to last more than a couple years maximum due to the skinny bungy cord.
