A wonderful read with fantastic insights into the full-life of the incomparable congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. It’s easy to forget that she’s only been a public figure since 2018, but this book does an exemplary job at chronicling her journey—from childhood to the immeasurable impact she’s had on the American political landscape, and all the ups & downs in between. Beyond the biographical portion of the book, the supporting essays are a joy, particularly the essay regarding the relationship of “the Squad” & their incredible bond that transcends politics. If you didn't already like the congresswoman, this book will ensure, at the very least, that you respect her & all that she stands for.
