Terminator: Dark Fate
Decades after Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) prevented Judgment Day, a lethal new Terminator is sent to eliminate the future leader of the resistance. In a fight to save mankind, battle-hardened Sarah Connor teams up with an unexpected ally (Arnold Schwarzenegger) and an enhanced super soldier to stop the deadliest Terminator yet. Humanity's fate hangs in the balance in this action-packed thrill ride from Tim Miller, the Director of Deadpool, and Producer James Cameron.
Arnold Schwarzenegger as T-800
Arnold Schwarzenegger returns to his iconic role as a T-800, one of the Terminators built by Skynet and sent back in time to kill John Connor. This T-800 has the same programming and hardware as its cyborg counterparts but with an unexpected history of its own.
Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor
Linda Hamilton returns as Sarah Connor, the naïve waitress turned fierce guerrilla fighter who sacrificed everything to protect her son. Two decades after preventing Judgment Day, the now battle-hardened Sarah is back on a mission to hunt Terminators.
Gabriel Luna as Rev-9
The Rev-9 is the deadliest Terminator yet. Using a combination of new abilities including splitting into two entities, simulating human emotion, and creating bladed weapons this state-of-the-art killer machine is focused entirely on eliminating its target.
Mackenzie Davis as Grace
Sent back in time by the future resistance, Grace is a super solider determined to protect Dani at all costs. Part human and part machine, Grace was built to fight Terminators.

For fans of the franchise, you might wonder: Sarah Connor died between T2 and T3. Arnold (The Terminator) was destroyed at the end of T2. How can they both be in this movie? They can't of course. But lazy script writers just disregarded the storyline and made up Dark Fate with them in it anyways. It's a disgrace really.
The female terminators are stronger than the male ones. They are androgynous-looking, to promote transgenderism. This is about selling the idea that men and women are equally strong. Remember, it's the agenda, not the movie that's the focus in Dark Fate. I could keep going, but frankly - as far as I'm concerned, there are only two terminator movies. This franchise has been on life support for about 20 years now, and well, it's time to move on. I hear Hollywood's next franchise they want to wreck is to make James Bond a black female. I wish I was joking...

here’s the thing. movies like these which does nothing for me in terms of storyline. always has fault.
that would be a bloody know fact. now who don’t remember Transformers” and that debacle of failure.
I still take them as one sort of individual player. cause to make assumption of story. racks your brain to
mush like the crashes they deliver on screen. so I digress to the action of choice. not writing.
I mean it has a story however lame it ma be. the only thing I’ll complain about is this Dolby Atmos.
it’s the worst I’ve ever heard. it’s not Dolby Atmos period. not even 5.1.
and a disc like this has no resume play? Dam man. I hate to say this. no wonder the Digital download is
taking over. dam to that too.
Dark Fate is Where You want to Be.
Runtime 128 Min.

If you just want to watch a really well-made and enjoyable film, come on in. We have some beloved characters returning, the usual stunning effects and beautifully choreographed fights. Storyline, as ever, requires willing suspension of disbelief but there's enough of it to keep things entertaining. Yeah, it's gone down this week's politically correct route but it shouldn't do intense pyschological damage to see a woman be the hero, unless you're already a bit fragile.
It's got the same grip, same frustration when they just stand there waiting for the thing to come at them again, same sense of "How do you stop this thing that Just. Won't. Die"
Thoroughly enjoyed it and promptly went on a binge watch of all the others.
I've read so many bad reviews about this it's scary.
I was a teenager when The terminator came out.... This was a b rated movie at the time and became a classic. I loved it as it was sci fi action. The stars and director at the time said it was a love story, and if you watch it esp Cameron's uncut version of is.
T2 was amazing at the time, special effects, action, all the stars back including a ghostly Carl. But it Rewrote the ending of the first one in what it did..... Did we question. No w we loved it for what is was, which was popcorn best, ground-breaking no as Cameron had used the effects in The Abyss, which like the first terminator very few saw at the cibema......
In recent years it kinda got lost for what the original was..... Human emotions, love, sacrifice, Fate, no fate, a will to live, a denial... Etc wrapped up in Sci Fi..
So Terminator Dark Fate.... It brings back Cameron.... Hamilton.... Arnie..... It brings back a love lost, a love for a family/friends, human emotions, fate, no fate, a will to live, a denial.... So tick..
It adds revenge, a ghost from the past, sorrows for loss in a bottle, an anger for sacrifice, a remorse, a will to earn forgiveness without asking for it.... Plus the basic ghostly copy of a younger Sarah model who looses much, and realises she has so much more to loose...
In effect this is Cameron.... This is a complex story that clearly continues on From T2... At first did I like the start...hmmmm. But in reflection if T2 happened after T1 then it's only logical that the opening happened, which sets up a human story.. In fact you could argue a role reversal for the two main stayers.
It doesn't take the action long... And if we look at the world to day, why can't the T2 ending result in this.
The two and a half from the future are brilliant, and it's good to see the medical weakness in one of them.
The chases are brilliant as usual.
Hamilton is brilliant as a n alcohol fuelled hunter... With visions of grandeur.
Arnie is brilliant... Way more lines than T2 and T1 together. But it works...seeing him talk about carpets and draps is so funny. But the nod to Carl is a nice touch by the terminator (and cameron)
By the end I was drained, entertained and got everything I have enjoyed from Cameron's action films... If you liked True Lies, Aliens, and T1 and T2, we're around in the 80s.. Then this is for you. If you believe that T2 is untouchable then don't watch this. But I am sure if you're a sci fi fan, an action Fan, or Terminator fan you will love this. Put it on, grab some popcorn and switch off and Get on board Cameron's action train...
Forget the negative reviews.....THIS IS A BRILLIANT TERMINATOR FILM !
Sorry, i do need to go back......
1984.... i get a VHS copy (not the best quality) of a film called "Terminator"
I watch it, i am totally blown away by it !
36 years later, another Terminator film
Yes, admittedly, over the years, some have not been great, this however, slaughtered, by many...is actually a brilliant film!
Ask yourself, what do you want from a Terminator movie?
Summed up in 1 word ....Entertainment.... big Arnie and Linda Hamilton
It's all here
Forget the moaners
Killing John Connor (who has been the main central character, in the last 4 films), just to replace him with a character, that is wholly forgettable from the start, is absolutely ridiculous. The new 'leader' hasn't got any leadership skill. And practically goes through the film, without giving any input, that would make us think that she has got what it takes to be the female Connor.
The 'protector', and I use this term extremely loosely. Is practically useless. Dependent on meds to stay alive, and looking like she hasn't a clue what to do at times. She spends the film looking like a bunch of spotty college kids made a her as a project, and then said ''et's just see if this works. If it doesn't, we can always make another one''.
Linda Hamilton acts like she couldn't give a toss whether the film bombs or not, cause her acting in this movie is like a casting tryout performance. And poor Arnie gets pulled in, just to get killed off (so they don't have to use him in future films).
This film just takes the tried and tested bits from T1 and T2, makes a very poor attempt at copying the two. And then laughs in your face, as it destroys the cannon for good. But hey, 'Money!!'
If you don't want your memories of 'Terminator' and 'Terminator 2 judgement day' ruined, then DO NOT BUY THIS. It should be taken to the nearest smelting plant, thrown in the furnace, and be forgotten about.
Please Mr Cameron. Terminate these rubbish attempts at money making, and just leave the Terminator franchise alone. Hopefully this will not be back.
