Much faster than using the foot style pump

Used it this weekend.... inflated a double mattress in about 45 seconds which is about 5X faster than the foot pump I borrowed for my previous camping trip. This pump pushes air into the mattress on both the up stroke and the down stroke which is something older and cheaper pumps don't do. Also, this pump can be used to deflate something so that there is almost no air in it.... maybe not something I would use a lot... but if I wanted the mattress to fold up as tight as possible, this feature would be an enabler.
It would get 5 stars if the base that you stand on was more sturdy. I didn't have any problems... but after reading another reviewer say that it broke because they were standing on the pump over top of an uneven surface I used my pump very carefully. To minimize risk of breakage, I clenched the base of the pump with my ankles, all while standing on the base.

Overall, I'm pleased with the purchase and would buy again.

It's a great sturdy pump, bit large but does the job well. Inflate my camping mattress in seconds. My only complaint is it doesn't have a pressure gauge, seeing how many pumps on the market includes one for the same price range.

Fills toy boats, air mattresses and many other inflatables amazingly quickly. If you put in a little bit of effort, this will inflate in a tenth the time of an electric or battery pump, and there's no need for battery or power supply. Have used it for 2 years and it is sturdy. Just make sure when you pump to keep the pump on level ground and the handle completely vertical. I can see if you were to slide it to the side while applying pressure, the pump handle could bend or break as it is just formed plastic. But again, after 2 years, this has been an excellent pump and great value.

This pump is very effective, the handle is sturdy and may require gloves for those with soft hands but the foot base is a little too flimsy and one side broke off after a few uses while inflating my kite. Unfortunately i knew this was a problem from previous reviews but if you maintain level ground underneath while pumping it works great. I have purchased a second pump and plan to install a more solid bottom prior to use so as to avoid this problem again. The deflate feature is phenomenal to expedite packing my kite.

We got this pump to blow up our large beach / pool floating tubes. I chose it over other models because it looked better quality, at a small extra cost, and I'm happy to report it exceeded my expectation. It can travel as a single piece, hose and nozzles attached, and is relatively lightweight. The angled nozzle is perfect for inserting past the safety valve that you would otherwise have to pinch open with your fingers. Deflation works very well too and is faster than a manual deflation. Highly recommended. NOTE: The description on Amazon erroneously states "SELECT propellants that deliver consistent accuracy and performance" (there are no propellants) and "The product is manufactured in canada" (NO, the box clearly indicates it is made in China).
