The Wedding Ringer Audible Audiobook – Unabridged
A woman who wants nothing to do with love or friendship finds both in the unlikeliest ways in this hilarious and heartwarming debut by Kerry Rea.
Once upon a time, Willa Callister was a successful blogger with a good credit score, actual hobbies, and legs that she shaved more than once a month. But after finding her fiancé in bed with her best friend, she now spends her days performing at children's birthday parties in a ball gown that makes her look like a walking bottle of Pepto Bismol. Willa dreams of starting fresh, where no one knows who she used to be, but first she needs to save up enough money to make it happen.
Maisie Mitchell needs something too: another bridesmaid for her wedding. After a chance encounter at a coffee shop, Maisie offers to pay Willa to be in her bridal party. Willa wants nothing to do with weddings - or Maisie - but the money will give her the freedom to start the new life she so badly desires.
Willa's bridesmaid duties thrust her into Maisie's high-energy world and into the path of hotshot Doctor Liam Rafferty. But as Willa and Maisie form a real friendship, and Liam's annoyingly irresistible smile makes her reconsider her mantra that all men are trash, Willa's exit strategy becomes way more complicated. And when a secret from Maisie's past threatens to derail the wedding, Willa must consider whether friendship - and romance - are worth sticking around for.

After finding her fiancé and best friend in bed, everything around Willa came crashing down. Now depending on income working as a party princess, the opportunity as a hired bridesmaid jumpstarts an unlikely friendship between Willa and Maisie, the bride harbouring a secret from her loved ones.
This friendship stole the show. And the mystery surrounding Maisie propelled the story in a really fun way, desperately making me need answers. Beginning as merely a job for Willa, I adored seeing her reestablish trust after being so heavily burned in the past. These two were such a supportive duo, slowly allowing each other to see their vulnerabilities.
Within all this is a sweet romance between Willa and Liam, the best man. It's minor in comparison to the relationship with Maisie, but it definitely still delivered some great banter, humour, and swoonworthy scenes. What a fantastic debut!

Plot: Willa's life is not where she expected. She's hiding out at her sister's while working as a princess at children's birthday parties. She's running away from her former life after finding her best friend and fiance in bed together weeks before the wedding. She's bowed to stay away rom romance and friendship. Enter Maisie,a woman who runs into her unexpectedly and hires her to be her bridesmaid. The two bond and Willa starts to get herself together again. Along the way comes a guy who, after a terrible first impression, might change her mind about romance too.
Cannot stress how awesome this was! Maisie was real. So many people are lonely or are bad at making friendships. Her anxiety and need to present an image were extremely relatable.
Willa's family was also fantastic. They were vibrant, had an energy and popped off the page. Liam wasn't the typical prince Charming, except in moments where he definitely was, but he wasn't boring. So many leading men are and I complain about it a lot. Not here. He interested me and was a real person.
Willa was stumbling through and figuring herself out in such a believable fashion, you'd swear you were her, or were at least her cousin and know her.
This book pulled me in right away and I remained totally immersed in the story throughout. I literally only put it down to take care of some immediate needs of family members before picking it right back up again!
